Re: Slow plant growth
http://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=59948&title=fs2017 is the answer. I've been using it for several days and it makes planning your crops so much easier. You can set different growth stage times for each crop and see how long to the next stage. The display...

Re: Potatoe boxes
Is there any other way of emptying the potato boxes? I was hoping to use them to refill my planter. That's how I do it, you'll need a front loader though as you can't just pull along side the trailer and refill Thanks *thumbsup* , I just wasn't seeing them running in as you do with other seed. Must...

Re: Farming knowledge
I worked as an aircraft engineer with a local operator for several years after finishing an apprenticeship with a major manufacturer. The company ceased operating and I took a temporary job on a local farm.(See my website). I stayed for 35 years, driving, repairing and maintaining many types of mach...

Re: Growth stage indicator
Sorted! :biggrin2: For any one else who may need more detailed information on using this mod, this is what I learned. In your 'Farming Simulator' folder, open 'Save game' then, with 'notepad' or similar, open 'Growth control' where you can edit 'Time to next growth stage' and 'Seed rate' for each cr...

Re: Growth stage indicator
I've found the problem :biggrin2: . I looked at modDesc.xml and noticed 'Left shift-'z''. Hud came up immediately *thumbsup* . I'm still not sure how to use the information. Why are there different times for different crops and is the time shown to the next growth stage? They seem a bit long compare...

Re: Attaching header to combine from trailer
I had this problem. Ended up with the combine wedged on top of the trailer. I had to sell the trailer and try a different one. The Krone works fine but difficult to reverse.

Re: Growth stage indicator
I still can't get the Growth Control mod to work. All it seems to have done is freeze the growth speed on 'Normal'. I hate to criticize our beloved Modders, but sometimes the instructions for use assume that the user knows what he is doing, unlike me, a bit dim sometimes.

Re: Thornton Farm
There is a reset function. Used it 3 times to fish tractors out of that stream. The reset object reappears in the yard with animals. Seeded a wide lane of grass around that field to help the workers to make safe turns without drowning. Nevertheless, one ran into the stream with tractor and seeder. ...

Re: Thornton Farm
The new worker managed to finish the field without falling in the water after I'd ploughed a few headland widths beside the river, though, with the lovely, natural, odd shaped fields on Thornton, there's always going to be a few bits to tidy up after the boy has finished.

Re: Thornton Farm
I started ploughing that field in the direction of the wheat rows from the left side of where the farm exit is then let the worker take over. All was fine until just past the farm entrance when he drove into the river :frown: . The only way out I could think of was to sell the plough and tractor an...

Re: Update 1.4.4
I've never had any problems with updates and 1.4.4 seems to have solved a couple of, maybe unrelated, minor issues with mods.

Re: Growth stage indicator
Thanks, I've tried that and couldn't get it to work (probably a senior moment) but I'll have another go.
