steering wheel + joystik

I use both a steering wheel and joystick to control my main controls on farming (steering wheel for driving and joystick for front loader controls) but recently the joystick has taken the driving controls from the wheel but in controls it says the wheel has the driving control

any suggestions on how to correct this problem would be greatly appreciated thanks

One (slightly drastic) way of dealing with this is to go into the folder that holds your mods folder and savegames etc. and there is an .xml file called inputBinding.xml delete this file and then when you start the game again you will be able to re-set all of your controls.

There may be less drastic ways of doing it but this is what I have done a couple of times when my equipment has stopped working.

i tried you advice and it has not solved my problem becasue the joysick overrides the conrols assigned to he wheel and the conroles assigned to the joysick just dont work atall

any sugesions on fixing this problem

I wonder if a recent patch has changed something then as it was some time ago that I was using both wheel/pedals and a joystick and re-assigning the input bindings did the trick for me then. I need a special controller now but I do know my son uses the cross shaped control on his wheel (I can't for the life of me think what it's called) to control functions like the front loader. Perhaps this might be a solution for you?

(the cross shape control is called the d pad on my wheel)

and using the joystick for the front loader allows for more precise actions

(sorry about the last messages typing errors I used a school laptop and they are terrible)

That's the name I was looking for but for the life of me I couldn't remember it.

I am going to try and remove a mod I installed about the same time as the mess up and see if that helps if I can remember the name of it

ok so the mod didn't cause the problem so I have no clue what caused the mess up

If you are using steam, it might be the update to patch 2.1, though its a beta, not an original one, steam installed it.

i am do not have farming from steam and i cannot thing what is causing the problem and it is starting to realy annoy me now

any solutions welcome
