erratic tabbing to next vechile

Hi , I have been using FS for quite a few years now and find it a great deal of enjoyment, and it works great. However a problem has come which is very annoying.
Problem: erratic tabbing to next vehicle while moving the steering wheel left or right.
When I use the tab key to move to next vehicle it works fine. But as soon as I move the steering wheel it tabs again.
Also when I press the P key to buy an item from the store things act strange. For instance, If I buy a placeable mod it comes up with the placing screen and moves by itself (no control there) also in the middle of the placeable screen is a small geen icon shaped like a bulleye. Hope I am explaining myself clearly.
This makes it impossible to play the game.

I am using FS 2013 Titanium Edition Two Rivers Map. I tried it with the default map and a couple of others and the problem is still there.
I still have a copy of FS 2011 and tried it. All works fine. So I figure the steering wheel, keyboard are both ok.

I feel the problem is with FS 2013.

Has anybody else encounter this issue if so I would very much appreciate some help

You probably have key binding conflict. Go to your "Options" in the main screen of Farming Simulator 2013, and under "Controls" there will be a whole list of controls for the keyboard/controller/wheel. I would just go through it double check to see if things are duplicated when they shouldn't be and correct them to the way they were or hit the "Reset to Defaults" button.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I did indeed have duplicate keys. I had
Switch to next vehicle for keypad = Tab for Gampad= DP-Right
Switch to previous vehicle for keypad = Left Shift Tab for Gampad= DP-Left

I removed DP- Right and DP- Left
That fixed the problem. Thank you very much for the info.


I still have the problem with the placing of items at the store which I mentioned in the first message. Any ideas?

Well, for the placeables, you can use the arrow keys to place the object (for the PC). So, whenever you move the mouse around in the place object screen, you could be moving the cursor to the edge of the screen, which also brings up the green icon for placing the object. Makes sense to you?

What platform are you using?

I did indeed have duplicate keys. I had

I removed DP- Right and DP- Left

That's not duplicate keys. And since it works fine for everyone else, including me, that can't be the actual problem.

The problem with the placable objects seems to have resolved itself. Everything is working as it should. Possibly a reboot fixed it , I have no idea. Anyhow I will see if it comes back.
