Is aForestMod.zip the file you downloaded from here just now http://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.ph ... mod_id=384 or did you re-zip or re-name another one you downloaded before?

I downloaded the 2.1 version and opened it, selected the language, but then it said Farming Simulator 2013 is not installed

I can't think if anything to do now :(

Yes, I downloaded it from that website as it was the first and most reliable one

I think the forest mod will only work with version 2.1 of the game.
Did you install your FS 2013 with the default path? You can try the downloaded exe-file of the update with "right click" -> run as admin...

How did you install your game? From DVD, direct download from Giants or as Steam version?
