Game not loading due to grahics issue

I recently had windows do an auto update and now I have several games that won't load due to graphics issues.

FS is saying it needs shader model 3.0
I have been running FS for months on this system and worked perfectly before this update.
I have updated all the graphic drivers to no avail.

warning though I'm not very computer literate when dealing with program fixes.

any help would be awesome. Thanks

I was able to find a fix on youtube. Up and running again

Could you describe, or post a link to this fix in case someone else has the same problem?
