Ursus pack

Post by Bor Sponge »

I must admit I'm a bit disappointed on the face of it.
Reason being is that it's nothing more than what I'm already getting of the better modding sites and for free.
I can see why it's Ursus and not something like John Deere or Cat due to administration reasons, copywriter etc but this Ursus pack isn't exactly aimed at the bigger farmer, which surely fs13 is based upon.
Personally I would of liked to seen a specialist pack, sugarbeet for example.
With a ROPA tiger or Vervaet Beet Eater 625 as the harvester, with specialist dumper trailers which you can tip field side.
Also a beet cleaner to load tippd beet into which then loads an awaiting truck, for example.
As and added bonus of loading your beet through the cleaner you get more $/litre/tonne.

Just my opinion and what I'd rather see from our beloved (or not so) Giants.

the reason it involves Ursus equipment is because they approached Giants and asked to be involved in the game. it has nothing to do with administrative reasons or any other nonsense, it was a move by a company who sees the potential in getting involved in a well selling farming game.

don't believe me? check their site and see for yourself. http://www.ursus.com.pl/

or just read the following, translated by Google from Polish.

"Farming Simulator 2013: Editing Ursus - a joint venture of Ursus and CDP.pl 2013-02-19

Farming Simulator 2013 : Ursus Edition "is the latest version of one of the most popular simulation games in the world . effect cooperation Ursus and the group CDP.pl CD PROJECT , will go to the players already in the spring.

" Ursus is one of the most recognizable brands of tractor, not only in Poland but throughout the world. In connection with the extension of the production profile for the other machines we decided together with our new partner, the company CDP.pl create a new simulator based on tractors and agricultural machinery produced in our factories. This is another step towards the global marketing strategy for promoting the brand on both the domestic and foreign markets. We are confident that with these treatments Ursus succeed on a whole new market for us gaming computer . " - said Charles Zarajczyk, Vice President of Ursus SA In his opinion, the virtual debut Ursus is not only a source of new revenue for the company, but also another way to custom brand promotion, and quick and efficient to reach the younger generation of farmers.

"Farming Simulator" is one of the most popular games of the genre simulators. Collectively, the world, has sold more than 3 million games in the series. Now, thanks to the strength of the brand and experience Ursus CDP.pl new Polish *** has a chance to reach out to an entirely new customer. "Farming Simulator 2013: Editing Ursus" should also be of interest to the faithful fans of the series who will get it at the disposal of the machine faithfully reproduced under the sign of Ursus, including historical models.

"Simulation is a very fast-growing s segment of the games in our market. CDP.pl only sold in the fourth quarter, more than 100 thousand. games of this genre. This very strong growth compared to the previous period is part of a Europe-wide trend, " - said Michael Gembicki, Member of the Board CDP.pl. He stressed that the Polish gaming market evolves. Players are now not only young men from big cities, it's also people looking for a quieter entertainment, playing from time to time and choosing more niche titles and game genres. "We are very pleased to have such a product, in addition to using one of the most recognizable Polish brand and iconic models of tractors designed and produced in Poland will soon to our portfolio , "- he added Gembicki.

One of the advantages of games in the series "Farming Simulator" is realism coincide with the affordability of the game. Players want to play up replicated the real conditions, appreciate the fact that they appear in the real equipment manufacturers who license their brand. Use Ursus brand so popular even outside the borders of our country, make that a lot of people heard about the game for the first time.

The game will hit stores in the spring. Prime Minister is to take place on the next Agrotech Agricultural Technology Fair in Kielce. Even today, the game can be pre-ordered on the site CDP.pl. The game will be released in three editions: the basic version of "Farming Simulator 2013" with "Ursus" the price of 99,99 zł, as an additive in the same price 39,99 zł and the Collector's Edition for the price 179.99 zł."

LOL
Seriously!!
If I'm not mistaken I'm not polish!!!
Sheesh, oh yeah I forgot John Deere and CAT are so popular in ENGLAND that they don't need exposure from a half arsed gaming company, that doesn't listen to its users, for exposure.
How many times do you hear a calling for an urus mod??
It's always John Deere!!!
And at £14.99 for 10 mods :/ wow looks like polish gaming community will increase massively!!
I want to see equipment that's used on ENGLISH farms not some 50 acre polish goat farm,
as far as I see it you've disrespected my opinion in what I would like from the game.
You really think I care about all that squit you've just posted, good luck to them, good luck to giants as well as many people have pointed out this game is outdated and poor graphics and game play wise.
Perhaps making improvements to those before bowing to the polish farming community would be more apropreiate...

Means nothing against your thoughts, of course! Only discovering this Ursus DLC left me simply SPEECHLESS.

I was expecting what you thought, or what they anticipated when announcing the console version: an american map, with bigger equipment. Maybe a Case combine, an overloader, a big planter like the FS2011 Kinze. If Ursus wanted visibility they could do just like Fendt did with Modhoster team... ask modders for making and releasing a high quality free mod starting from a real hi-def model. If only some modders had blueprints of the machinery cannot even think what they could do...

-edit- Now I'm looking forward for some Fuyang, Changfa, Foton, HMT...

informative..............

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5iqYuFmzqg

maybe try reading the article i posted, and look at it from a business standpoint. ANY gaming company would push thru a DLC pack if a manufacturer approached them and said they wanted to be in the game. it's simply smart business. as far as John Deere goes, it seems i heard they make their own game, so why would they help a company that makes a game that competes with theirs? or don't you grasp that concept?

maybe try looking at it from Giants viewpoint, the Polish gaming community may just be one that they are eager to tap into.

by the way numnuts has a B in it. at least spell the insult right.

(" I stuff where the sun don't shine ".............................. :hmm:

not about to ask what you stuff where the sun don't shine.)

by the way, how exactly would i or any other person know if you were from Poland?

I may be wrong but was there a full moon last night?

I think, and again I could be wrong, that to use the name of a manufacturer in a game such as this can cost thousands of pounds/dollars/euros or whatever so if a company comes to the game maker and asks them to add their product to the game then as far as the game maker is concerned it is all profit! I know Ursus isn't a hugely popular brand in the UK and western Europe but there are mods out there for the brand so someone must want it. Giants did what any company would do and that's drink from the corporate cup and hope to make lots of money from this little venture.
If you want my opinion I think the DLC is way overpriced for what it contains and despite what others have said on this forum there are free mods out there with quality finishes that will do exactly the same job!
Peace,

Bob T.

On another note, do you know what's happening with the extreme bailing mod that had appeared on a slightly better modding site??

Cheers.
Happy farming bob :)
