The modDesc doesn't exist. Most probably wrong zipped. You have to open the folder from the mod, select everything and create the ZIP file.

The log.txt has added something, Wich i can't really make any sense of.

Invalid XML syntax in the modDesc. To fix that you need XML knowledge.
Re: [Guide]Converting Mods from 2011 to 2013
Ah, Thanks.. Seems ill gotta go learn XML then.
Thanks for the support!

Can't someone out there that knows something about programming make a live editor that will ask for price, daily cost and equipment type and automatically place it where it needs to go? This would most likely be the EASIEST way to convert old mods!

How about if someone came to your house and did it for you?? Would that be easy enough for you??yellowraregt wrote:Can't someone out there that knows something about programming make a live editor that will ask for price, daily cost and equipment type and automatically place it where it needs to go? The conversion instructions are laid out in a step by step sequence, making it so easy that any moro..... ummm
ANYBODY could follow them. (about opened myself up for ridicule there )

Someone could... But that's just a very little bit you have to do when converting mods. And if that little bit is already too much, then you shouldn't convert mods at all.yellowraregt wrote:Can't someone out there that knows something about programming make a live editor that will ask for price, daily cost and equipment type and automatically place it where it needs to go? Re: [Guide]Converting Mods from 2011 to 2013
Sorry I brought it up. That's what's wrong with public forums today.... Everybody has to publically flame others that just try to simplify a process. I have about 200 mods I want to add to the game. Me being a computer guy (not a programmer) was thinking that if someone who knows what they're doing could write a script to do it, it would save those of us that had a larger amount of mods, a lot of time... I'm new to the 2013 sim....first week of it... I just will add them as I get time, sorry I asked.

Well i do agree with the others.. If you cant even take the time to do this little, then just drop the fs11 mods.. or modding in general.. might take long time to learn but it becomes easier like everything else.. and i think a script would have been made if they found it usefull..
Re: [Guide]Converting Mods from 2011 to 2013
Best part, biggest part of the mods cant be converted with this guide, will just get errors...
