Game will not launch

Playing FS22 on a Mac, running macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 and when trying to launch the game it opens the launch page that reads, "getting information from update server" and after about 5 seconds the page closes but the game does not launch.

I get the same thing, sometimes. It says it's checking for an update and just keeps going. This has been happening ever since I added the Premium Expansion pack. Once in a while it acts like there is an update available. It shows the available update is version 1.1.0.0 of the Premium Expansion pack, the current version is blank. But version 1.1.0.0 is the version I downloaded when I bought it.
