Ka 26 Helicopter Crop Duster

Just found this mod and having a little bit of trouble using it. It seems like I have to fly it about less than 1 ft. off the ground to get good coverage with it, is this normal? I am still enjoying it regardless of the issue, here is the link if any of you want it,

I cant even get it to show up in shop.any helicopter ive downloaded I cant get of the ground!shame was so excited when I saw it.
