When rain/hail stops Your Harvesting

I note that sometimes if it rains or hails, even tho I have the "no rain" mod, and I start my combine to harvest, I get a warning box that tells me I cannot 
harvest crops when raining or hailing. And this occurs AFTER the rain has ceased, and it's full sun or partly cloudy, or cloudy or whatever. Is there anything short of erasing the playgame to prevent me from harvesting the crop?
