Re: Realistically sized equipment

Run what size you want. On Oakfield, I'm setting a limit of 250hp until I buy a lot more land. But it just depends on what you are wanting to model. All the maps are 2km x 2km. There really isn't any that justify a 500+hp tractor or semi, but I play the game as if I'm modeling a scaled farm. Whateve...

Re: Lone Oak - I think I did something wrong

Honestly, I think you probably did break the game. Probably a weird mod. On my Lone Oak save on easy, silage sells for $600/l at the biogas plant. That's 1,666 bales of silage (stock bales) or 333 of your 20k bales to get to $4,000,000. That would take quite a long time (much longer than 3 hours unl...

It may not be realistic, but it makes it easier...

It seems like the challenge is not there now...

Re: Biggest company in fs

For the sake of good conversation, where did these number come from? I can't think of a scenario where Kubota made more than AGCO. The numbers come from the company's annual audited financial statements. You might be thinking from a US-farming perspective. Kubota is a huge company worldwide. They m...

Re: Biggest company in fs

Who is the seed/herbicide manufacturer in game? John Deere is by far the largest equipment manufacturing company in the game. CNH is second. I think Komatsu is next. AGCO is next and quite a ways behind those three. For comparison, Manitou's 2017 revenue was $2.06 billion while JD's was $29.738 bill...

Since no other in-game tractors have any North American options, it's not going to happen.

Re: How do you keep it interesting?

Play a different game or do something else for a while. You'll find you get the itch back after a week or two without it. I rotate between FS and Kerbal Space Program. Both of which can get stale after a month or so of playing. Then I may play a story-driven game for a week. I even *gasp* go for day...

Re: What's your tractor lineup right now?

Ooooh! Glad you asked. I just started up on Oakfield Farm after playing nothing but big, open, maps with 4x4s and Seedhawks... I'm currently farming cows, pigs, and sheep. I'm running: a New Holland 7740 with frontloader that does good on a round baler and moving stuff around the yard. a New Holland...

Ah yes... The one that started it all for me. FS2011: Platinum Edition. Back when Farmville was a thing that existed. I picked my copy up at Walmart having never played a PC game in my life. I was hooked in less than 5 mins.

After Lone Oak came out for FS17, I've not played a UK map. So glad to be back to <200hp equipment and lots of hills. Why didn't you guys tell me Oakfield was so awesome?

Re: Multi combine setups?

Like FarmCat said. Make sure they're beside each other as well as your grain cart/truck/whatever is doing the unloading in the "tab to next vehicle" list. It helps to make sure your cart/trailer can hold more than two full combines worth. I can keep up with two combines pretty well as long as the fi...
