Re: Yesmods! All it's cracked up to be?

I never download mods from those sites either. Sites like Yesmods are a halfway house really. If they wanted to be as good as they could be they simply wouldn't include such mods that direct people to these sites, but it's up to them. It's a shame the modhub doesn't incorporate a voluntary donation ...

Re: How do you keep it interesting?

I have long periods when I don't play FS because it just doesn't interest me. Then I have an urge to play it and have a prolonged period of playing regularly. No point trying to force yourself to enjoy a game though. Everyone is different in what they like. I usually start off without much money, bu...

Re: Focus on the modern farming

I'd prefer to have the variety, but it is all about the commercialisation nowadays, more so than 2013. It's aimed more at people who get excited by a particular manufacturer than people who are just generally interested in farming. The FS 2013 Classics DLC Deutz D80 is my favourite tractor of any in...

Re: The cycle needs to change.

I'd prefer it if they worked like some other games do of having just a base game with updates and DLCs that come out for that, but I doubt it's going to happen. There are plenty of games that come out once per year where you basically buy the same game every year with a few additions and changes. Us...

Re: FS league...lol

I enjoy watching it, well, when there isn't a pointless 'rush' victory (whoever thought adding that was a good idea must have been drunk!), but the poll question is poorly worded. Of course it isn't 'necessary'. Farming Simulator as a whole is not 'necessary'!

Re: Holzer Map

The included animal scripts were deactivated with the Seasons update, as they are not compatible with Seasons. If you want the old animal scripts for the map, you need to reactivate them in the map, and also play without Seasons. The animal trough capacity was deactivated, but in the 'seasons ready...

Re: Seasons - Animals Screen

Yeah, I can't wait until they make changes to the animal screen in seasons. It's almost unplayable at the moment which is a shame because obviously the rest of the mod is very interesting. I use the animal HUD on most of my maps, but it doesn't work on my current map where I have loads of animals.

Re: Holzer Map

Yes, but that map has special animal husbandry rules included, which, in theory, are supposed to be setup as mentioned but I suspect it just isn't possible to have what amounts to an either/or option for TMR or a parallel combination of foods.

Re: Holzer Map

I'm enjoying trying Holzer, but the animal feeding options don't seem to work as they ought to. I didn't know it was possible to set it up as it is meant though either. TMR should give 100%, but on this map there should also be the option for 45% silage, 45% hay and 10% cereals in parallel with each...

Re: Longer development

Depends entirely what would be done in the extra time. If it's just an endless pursuit of graphics perfection then I wouldn't care. FS13 had good enough graphics for me for a simulation game. Some of the ideas introduced in FS19 are interesting and would be good if further developed to focus on the ...

Re: Unrealistic economy

Challenging enough to do what though? If you have too much money then you can just do whatever you wish, though it takes a lot of money to buy potato, sugarbeet and cotton harvesters, tractors, combines, 60 fields and whatever else. You can do things as difficult as you wish with more money, just do...

Re: Unrealistic economy

I can never understand when people talk about realism in FS19. What can possibly be the reference point for realism? Fields turn around in one day. Some random oik sat at a computer is running a farm, sometimes using a keyboard and mouse. One aspect of realism people never seem to mention when wanti...

Re: Orchards

Looking forward to trying this. The old Apfel mod of FS2013 was one of my favourite mods that I've missed since and even though this will behave differently it's still some extra variety just as I'm wanting things to do with manure.

Re: Censorship

People do love to throw out freedom of speech arguments to try to justify everything. You're not in a free public place, you're in a forum owned by a games company who can essentially do whatever they want in their own forum, just like you can kick someone out of your house if their freedom of speec...

Re: Slow plant growth

I always end my working days around 7pm or a little later if I'm finishing a job. I never work through the night, just start again 5 or 6 am next day. I usually just stick with normal growth. Any talk of realism is pointless when you are arguing between crops being fully grown in 1 day, 3 days or 5 ...
