Re: Fenton by Stevie
Does anyone know if he plans to include any of the production areas that he had in the FS17 maps? Things like the compost maker, potato washers, seedmasters, etc?

Re: Why are default maps always rubbish?
They're not rubbish. I quite enjoy some of the Giants maps - Westbridge Hills, Sosnovka, and Felsbrunn. They are put together well, detailed, and everything works. They do lack realism in the size and shapes of the fields, sell points, etc, but that's what you get when you have to make a map that ap...

Re: Best map-mod so far?
+1 for Fenton Forest, it's a great map, even in the testing phase. Honestly I'm not sure that I enjoy the farm-building aspect of the game, so it doesn't bother me at all to buy a farm that's already been set up by an expert map-maker. If you look closely at the map, you can see the skeleton of Fels...

Re: How are you making money?
Making money by gradual expansion! Easy economy feels just right to me. The money is easy to come by, but it still takes some time and effort to progress. Buying fields whenever I can, and upgrading equipment when I need to. I shamelessly max out my loan - the interest rate is so low that buying fie...

Re: Ravenport Garbage heaps
I don't play much on Ravenport because the trash looks shabby. But, not every farm area is clean and well-kept. To me it looks like an out-of-the way lower-middle-class neighborhood. I think this map brings some variety, and I don't find it insulting as an American. Westbridge Hills was a US map and...

Re: Is anyone still playing On FS17?
For those of you that were around when FS17 came out, was there a similar transition between 15 and 17? Yes, it was a similar situation then, too. A lot of people were underwhelmed with the differences, and of course they missed the mods they grew used to in 15. It took a while for quality mods and...

Re: Ever been addicted to a certain crop?(no drugs allowed)
I'm having a hard time finding a reason to plant anything but soybeans. They are almost always the most profitable crop without needing specialized equipment. Sugarbeets are fun, as long as you have money for the biggest trucks and trailers to haul it all away

Re: Bank loan amounts
I recently read somewhere that after you have 250k (I think) worth of fields and placeables, then the loan amount increases by 80% of the value of the fields and placeables you add after that. For example, if you already have 500k worth of land, and you buy another field for 100k, then your loan lim...

Re: Steering Wheel
The Logitech Heavy Equipment wheel and side panel set were made specifically for Farming Simulator. But if you think he will want to play other driving games, then a Logitech G920 or G29 is a great choice. Pair it with the Logitech side panel or a joystick.

Right, it's about putting your straight line in the correct place, more than only keeping it straight.

Re: Equipment Service
Low maintenance % on vehicles causes increased fuel consumption.
On implements like headers and seeders, it decreases the working speed of the implement.
For things like front weights and tippers, I have no idea what happens.

Re: LIME!!!!
If lime is turned off, then you get the bonus without applying lime.
If lime is turned on, you only get the +25% if you apply lime when needed.
Lime, plowing, and weeds increase difficulty. If those options are turned off, you will get the yield bonuses they provide without doing anything.

Re: Returning Leased Items
If you want to do a contract without leasing, then just accept the contract, don't click the "Borrow items" button. When you complete the contract, all leased/borrowed items are automatically returned, you don't have to take them back yourself.
