Best map for horses?

Hello fellow farmers! I recently picked the game back up after a long absence. I remember this forum being very helpful in the past. As the title suggests, my ultimate goal is to find a CONSOLE map most suitable for horses. My 9yo daughter enjoys farming with me and her favorite part is riding and e...

Re: Precision farming and crop sensor

It is my understanding that using the crop sensor improves the environmental score, which then improves yield/price.

Re: Double fertilizing with Oilseed Radish(using MaxiRoll 630 Greenline)

Sounds like you are getting one fertilizer state for the roller, which (if I understand correctly) should only work if it's rolling an existing grass field, and then a second fertilizer state for the Oilseed Radish. I would consider this a bug.

Re: Train drives away slowly when hire it and going out.

you will want to deliver all your crop to the train station before calling on a train. When you call the train, you are charged $1,000/hr to have it sit there. It sounds like a lot, but it is usually under $100 if you have all your crop ready to load.

Re: Shelia McFarland Contracts / land appear bugged

fields 36 and 37 are swapped on Elmcreek... For example, if you accept a contract to cultivate 37, the it's actually 36 that needs cultivation and you will be able to perform the work there

Re: Crop Price Analysis

Pulling data from the xlm files shows that the best time to sell wheat should be Mid Winter with a price of 21% over the baseline. The lowest would be late summer at 81% of the base price. Wheat, Barley, Oats, and Straw should all fluctuate the same according to the xlm files. Soybeans have a much h...

Re: Always need 2 weeders?

Also, spraying with herbicide creates a yield DECREASE. The game is designed to encourage using the plow.

Re: Rolling do anything after you've de-rocked the field?

According to the Tutorial on their website, rolling AFTER seeding gives a yield increase.

Re: Always need 2 weeders?

plowing before planting eliminates weeds all together. They won't grow. Yes, plowing is time consuming, but it's better than having to check the field every growth state and go over it multiple times.

[/quote] Just completed the first grape harvest. 21k grapes. Put them all in the factory, the conversion rate is 1:0.7 for grape juice. Price for grapes at the time was 1000 and for grape juice 3000. It's now November, into my third month of grape processing with about 6k left. About 36 pallets of j...

Re: Storing Grapes?

Interesting. I didn't think of the train station for storage. I know in previous versions of the game we were charged a fee for storing in train silos overnight.

Storing Grapes?

Am I missing something or am I very limited on what I can do with harvested grapes? Once I harvest them (with the only harvester available), they must be dumped into a specific trailer that can only be used for grapes. Once in said trailer, there is no shed/silo/container suitable for storing them. ...

Re: Equipment Maintenance: Ridiculous and Inscrutable

I just started a similar thread about the lack of NEED in the repair function. I see no functional difference between equipment at 100% or 30%... I've yet to wear one down to 0%

Do you HAVE to repair equipment?

I've got a windrower at 27%... sill windrows!
I've got a tractor at 36%... still tractors!

If I remember correctly from 19, things like combine headers would produce lower yield if not maintained. Haven't tested that theory yet for 22.

Thoughts?
