Re: New to farming? Ask questions here:

The gold nuggets show up on the map once you have collected 10 of them. I'm not aware of a way to toggle them on/off, you can either collect them or else edit your save file to say that you have. I'd collect them, it's a good tour of the map, and if you don't want the million, just don't pick up the...

Re: Plow weight - help needed

Is it this one? https://www.deere.com/en/tillage/915-v-ripper/ Looks like a pretty big ripper with a pretty big tractor pulling it to me... If you're after a big plough that's easy to pull, look for the Horsch cultiplow by Stevie. It's 10m wide and works well enough with 250+hp on the front. Sorry, ...

Re: Seasons Mod Thread #2

That's a farming simulator thing, not a seasons thing. The explanation I heard was that when you mix hay, silage and, optionally, straw, you make total mixed ration, which is not the same as power food, but contributes to the cows' power food. Afaik it's not possible to make 'pure' power food, but I...

Re: to lease or buy

That should work fine. I would buy it with the crop on it, borrow the money for a harvester, get what you can with the free half hour then return it and pay back the loan, and just plough/cultivate the rest. Alternatively, if you cultivate the lot in then this should give you a fert stage, it just d...

Re: The west coast

Little Woolhope also has a sell point, if you drive left around the workshop, head down to the diesel tank and turn left, it should be on the left. Like the one at clifftop, it has a lid that you have to open to expose the grate underneath.

Re: Watering cows on West Coast Xbox one

Mountain view is the real cow farm, little Woolhope is the fake one. The map was started for fs15, which had fattening mods for many animals. My understanding is that mountain view was the dairy, little Woolhope was the beef farm. If you're at mountain view, make sure you're on the correct side of t...

Re: New to farming? Ask questions here:

There is also a difference in selling price, since loose silage fluctuates and is subject to price drops but bales are a fixed price. Istr on normal difficulty, silage bales go for around 2000/bale, this is about 500/1000l, so if you sell silage at more than 500, it's more profitable than bales. Not...

Have you updated farm sim to the latest patch? New mods won't work with older versions of the game.

Re: mod causing issues

Are you using seasons? If so your vehicles need maintenance. Take them to a workshop, or use the toolbox mod and select repair.

Re: Horsch Pronto 9SW problem

Using a weight might work, I can't remember if the pronto has the right attacher to connect to it though.
Failing that, you could try using an articulated tractor, like the T9 or the quadtrac. They seem to turn better with larger implements than the other available tractors in game.

Re: Question about filling implements...

The helpers charge through the nose for seeds and fertiliser, IMO you're always better off filling the tanks before setting them off.

Re: Oakfield is HERE!!!! Not on console yet..

Thanks, it's just that others were saying that they could manually detect the field edge, whereas my (Dev) version of CP wouldn't.
I fixed it, anyway. I just ploughed the field and CP was quite happy to detect the edge then.

Re: Larger Working Width Windrower for PS4?

I might be missing something here, and obviously everyone wants to play their own way, but it seems to me it would be just as much work to windrow 2 swaths into 1, then bale/collect it, as it would be just to pick up each swath as it lies. You'd still be driving the field twice, and you'd have to fo...
