Re: Bale density vs bale count?

I would say its bale count. Each bale has X number of polygons it has to render when you see it on screen. I don't know what the poly count is but im sure someone will that can chime in. When you have any number of bales on the screen at once its going to tax the system. Even PC players its ill-advi...

Re: PSA - Geo accuracy and or inaccuracy (member contributions)

I more looking for individuals who live in a given area to comment on how accurate or inaccurate the geo of that area represents the area. There are always fluctuation. Every year is not like the last. Here where I live we had a record year for rain 2 years ago that was unseen in all of recorded wea...

PSA - Geo accuracy and or inaccuracy (member contributions)

As of this post I count 50 "Seasons GEO:" mods in the mod hub. As a player that wants to play the game with seasons I typically feel I want to play somewhat realistic"ish" for the most part. But with many players personal experience being very limited to the region of the world that they have grown ...

Re: Seasons and animal care repetitivity

With profit margins near non existant for farmers I would say these emplyees are usually family and not so much true employees like one might think of with other businesses. As far as filling your days you could either speed up the clock to something like 15X so a game day goes by in about an hour a...

Re: Seasons and animal care repetitivity

Maybe realism isnt your cup of tea if you find needing to keep up with the animals as a daily choir which is fine folks can play the game how ever you want. But in real life farmers with animals much balance the time it takes to care for them which they must do on a daily or even multiple times a da...

Re: CCM Mill Seasons "this action can not be performed here"

Did you edit the xml? I forget where or what you have to change but there is a bit of xml you need to edit for the CCM to be accepted. The other possiblity is not so much a conflict with seasons but reaching the ground tip limit. Seasons adds salt, semi dry grass and snow to the ground tip filltypes...

Re: Seasons cows

Not sure what the % fill that keeps the health % from dropping but personally I don't even look at the health %. If your animals don't run out of food or run out of water they wont die until they hit the old age limit which for cows is 10 years. The health % factors into weight gain and milk product...

Re: Ballydorn Farm

Just an FYI on the forbidden-mods download and any other scraper site that has pulled it from who knows where. That workuploaded download link is questionable. I put the mod on nexus mods, I was the only one to have access to the map before I uploaded it and nexus was the only place I put it. I see ...

Re: Where is the snow gear?

There is a plow and salt spreader by Realismus that was released same day as seasons. Not sure if there are other salt or plow mods but a lever will work to move snow around or a bucket.

Re: Biggest Map

I wouldnt say we are calling it out as impossible just more like improbable. A map with the land area might be possible with undersized map layers stretched to fit the space but as outlined you would have odd behavior with field work, landscape painting and raising or lowering the ground as a result...

Re: Ballydorn Farm

Wombles, Oyeebo as best I can tell has moved on to other things but wanted to bring this map back for 19. In essence he reached out to me back in Sept or Oct last year about the map and wanted to offer the map to me to do what I wanted with it. Release it or keep it private. I was totally floored at...

Re: Biggest Map

During my live streams of the 16X Nowhere Kansas map size came up alot so I want to interject a few general observations. We have issues with folks refer to map sizes with things like 2X, or 4X or 16X or 64X. What is the x representing. The X would typically represent that the map is a multiple of s...

Re: Ballydorn Farm

Well thank you breadedvirus for the complements on the video. A big thanks goes out to the map author OYEEBO for bringing the map forward from 17 to 19. Sadly I hear the map has been spread throughout the internet now on the various rehost sites with a download link from somewhere other than nexusmo...
