Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????

Seasons is already in the game though, but just not in the base game. Although to be fair the same could apply to most of the voting list. I'd like to see better looking weather, better physics, better lighting etc etc. Basically FS needs a bit of a visual overhaul going into the new console and gra...

Re: What is FS 19 Missing the Most????

I voted for dynamic ground deformation. I think some sort of version of it will definitely come with the next FS. I don't think it'll be much, it won't be quite like the Mudrunner games, but I think some sort of 3D ground deformation should be possible in the next game, even if its just confined to ...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

I've never really bought into this whole idea that if the base game had seasons, had more realistic and weightier physics, and whatever ever else, then the average casual gamer would be put off it. I think thats a bit nonsense. When FS-19 came out and I was reading around on general gaming forums li...

Re: Pc is the way

When it comes to general gaming there are definite reasons to love consoles. Sony especially have amazing exclusives for the Playstation I think. I too prefer sitting on my couch gaming and actually that is something I miss from playing FS on console. I know I can rig my PC up through my TV but its ...

Re: Pc is the way

I used to be a console farmer and moved to PC a couple of years back. There is something to be said for the console version. Its a simpler experience and and you can get a lot of gaming pleasure making more out of less. I jumped ship to PC during FS-17 when there was a much bigger difference between...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

Surely Giants could add Seasons as it is into the base game but just have it as an optional feature with a simple on/off toggle? Wouldn't have thought that would be hard. It makes sense for them to add it to the base game since it would be there for day one. I think for a lot of people FS-19 didn't ...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

I think people need to realise how much the additional game modes they added to FS-19, and certainly in respect to how they worked with the placeables system, mucked everything up for map makers. Its a big reason there's been fewer decent maps for FS-19 and its a big reason why maps have taken longe...

Re: BulletBill

Yeah the audio in FS is terrible but audio tends to be the thing that suffers most when a game gets optimised. Its another thing the two new consoles are apparently great for, particularly the PS5. There's now tons of bandwidth available for incredible sound effects. Be good if Giants take full adva...

Re: BulletBill

As we've spoken about in other threads I think a lot will depend on whether the new FS is being optimised for the new consoles and the new higher end PC graphics cards. If it is then I'm optimistic the environment and lighting will look a lot better than FS-19. If however the game is being made for ...

Re: BulletBill

FS-19 was a huge step side ways in most respects. The way the new lighting and graphics engine works vehicles and implements all look much better than they did in FS-17 but sadly the price the game paid for that is that it made the environment look much, much worse. The bright lighting makes all the...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

Just remember when you're considering how much cash revenue Giants make from sales across all platforms Sony and Microsoft take a 30% cut for each individual console sale. PC sales may well be less over all but the profit margin may be greater.

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

I never got into Mudrunner but Snowrunner is much, much better. Much better visuals and the game world is just generally better looking and immersive. All that being said its a bit of a one trick pony and I can only really play it in small doses before becoming a bit bored. It can be massively frust...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

People keep talking about Mud Runner, but I've never played it... Does it even have buildings in it? Snowrunner is the much improved sequel to Mudrunner and yeah its got small towns and its really a very detailed world now compared to FS. There's a lot Giants could learn from it including the visua...

Re: Farming simulator 21 release?

The two things FS-22 will need to have to get me back into playing the sim is a big make over of the graphics engine and some form of deformable terrain. Thats all I'm interested in. Pretty much everything else I can live with as is. The game needs a big visual make over though. Looking at OxygenDav...

Re: Could these new consoles close the gap with PC gaming?

People who go on about consoles always having outdated hardware and always being behind the curve in terms of performance aren't really seeing the whole picture. Consoles are incredibly well optimised. Its why a 7 year old console - the PS4 - can play a game that looks as good as The Last of Us 2. G...
