Re: Lone Oak 19

It's nice to see someone doing such an amazing job of building a map. Taking there time to get it right and trying to make it original and not borrow/use whatever is out there. I remember when you showed me some very early screenshots back in Fs17. With your passion and dedication to this map when ...

Re: Lone Oak 19

Mobias that looks amazing!!! Cheers! I'm planning on having the map ready for FS-23  Seriously though I would love to finish it one day and have it released. I do like a good US map and Lone Oak was a big source of inspiration for my map, which is set in the hilly Palouse region of Washington ...

Re: Lone Oak 19

For the map I'm making I made simple hill shapes in Blender and then went onto Google Earth and found suitable field textures and mapped them onto the blank hill shapes I'd made. I had to muck about with the colours a bit to make it all bit more realistic in the game. Then I spent ages getting them ...

Re: Lone Oak 19

I am curious now, on what you think of Marwell and the use of trees on that map. As Marwell in my own personal taste of maps is the crown jewel of maps so far on 19. Yeah I agree I think Marwell Manor is the best map made specifically for FS-19 we've seen to date. The use of trees in that map seems...

Re: Lone Oak 19

In your opinion, do trees/treelines make or break a map? Like if the trees don't look real, then it just makes the rest of the map look "blah". And also, do you think the new graphics/lighting on 19 make trees look worse than they did on 17? I'll chime in with my two cents here and say that map mak...

Re: Fs 21 discussion thread

They really need to work on the environment lighting. Even with Season's its still not as good as it could be. The dynamic sky in FS-19 was long overdue and to be fair doesn't look too bad for what it is but clearly could look a lot better I think. Also, as I've just said in another thread I've sta...

Re: Fs 21 discussion thread

Giants should definitely concentrate on making whats in the current game better rather than keeping on adding more and more niche things like ever more obscure crop types and activities like horse riding. They really pushed the horse riding and cotton farming in the FS-19 marketing campaign and I'd ...

Farming Simulator in 3rd Person.

Has anyone on PC tried this mod? I've just discovered it and I love it. Generally in gaming I far prefer 3rd person games to first person. I just find it way more immersive having an avatar to relate to and control. I also just find it a bit more cinematic. In FS it really gives you a much better se...

Re: Loneoak in testing

You can somewhat get the colours looking slightly better just be adjusting your monitor or TV a bit. So much of the look of FS-19 is substantially better than 17, the use of textures and shadows is all so much better, its just a shame there's something slightly amiss with it all. The sky in Seasons ...

Re: Loneoak in testing

Regrettably Lone Oak 19 is far too similar in overall feel and lighting as Marwell Manor for me to enjoy playing. I hate to say it but I think you're right. I wish he used the lighting that was used on Ravenport. It is more of a yellowish light. Whereas the lighting in Felsbrunn seems to be more of...

Re: Are you still excited for Claas?

I'd be really excited if I was still only playing the game on console but Claas is the one brand which is done very well by modders on PC. Plus we get all the US versions of Claas on PC. I'm interested to see how well the audio is done by Giants. Some of the Claas combine mods have incredibly well d...

Re: fs 19 physics discussion

The animated seat suspension in the game is a really nice touch and certainly helps the game 'look' more realistic in terms of how the physics effects things. I'm pretty certain I've seen improvements in the games physics since release in various updates.

Re: fs 19 physics discussion

Dynamic terrain will be the next big leap for the franchise I think. Giants have said a few times they're working on it.

Re: fs 19 physics discussion

I kind of enjoyed MR in FS-17 but it was also a pain at times and if you used it it did massively reduce the amount of vehicles and tools that you could use to those that had MR profiles written for them. It always annoyed me that it wasn't always very accurate. The maxed out horse power Quadtrack c...
