Re: Here comes the precision

They announced before fs22 was launched that with the new version there would be an alternative to soil samples. According to their announcement it looks like the purchasable soil map will be the alternative. I guess a ‘map’ per field owned. I like this - there was a mod in FS19 which did much the ...

Re: How much cotton does the spinnery process in a year?

It took me 2 in game years to process 5 round (10000l each ) bales of cotton. That sounds about right, I planted 2 fields of cotton and got 6 bales from them. I filled the spinnery, then planted cotton again thinking the spinnery would us up my bales pretty quickly. I now have 2 fields crowing cott...

Re: Precision Farming DLC

When i am driving across a field of alfalfa or clover with my solid fertilizer turned off i get the sign of kgN/ha right. But when i turn it on it doesn't recognize the crops, only the soil. It says "no crops were detected etc". Anyone else has this issue? My understanding is that PF-dlc ...

Oh I didn't try that - I did find that a cultivator made for a great snowplow, but it didn't work on frozen fields!!

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (Unknown Release Date)

So with silage and hay taking time to brew, has there been any consideration to baling contracts? Or will we need to hold the contract until the hay or silage process has completed. While I like the concept of bales not being instant, it does kind of detract if I have to sit on a contract for 1/3 se...

Re: Using the Compass

In FS17 I used a mod which displayed compass heading top-middle of the screen - I used it in every play through. I find the compass in the mini-map less than convenient.

Re: Old Stream Farm Discussion

Loving this - there's just enough still in place for the nostalgia element. But enhanced by the encroachment of the modern world on a town almost frozen in time - new store/BGA, with the old locations repurposed. Since I've done the Favorit 511c and Fiat to death, I opted to sell and replace with a ...

Re: THe truth bout the log forks

Biobeltz LF180 Log Fork - release this week on the in-game ModHub - works like a charm. Used it in FS17 for over 400 trees loaded, in FS19 it's just as reliable.

Re: [FS19] Giants Mods this week

Old Stream no longer on the list.
Biobeltz LF180 Log Fork - this is the 2 upper/2 lower prong fork that was so much of an improvement over the ingame fork in FS17? - if yes, I'm going to be very happy and may consider some FS19 logging operations.

Re: Plowing

When I just need to get rid of "needs plowed" state on a field, I'll typically use a subsoiler. But to create fields I'll use the biggest plow I can find - obviously with the Create_Fields_with_Cultivator mod, I could use a cultivator now. But still - I'll use the biggest piece of equipmen...

Re: HUD Improvement Idea

You're always going to have an issue with text color on a variable background - eventually the camera angle is going to be such that your background is too close in shade to your chosen text color. While having black panels can be annoying, there is the guarantee that white text will always be visib...

Re: Mercury Farms by Alien Jim (Official Topic)

Biggest thing for me is that the (functional) buildings are all available as placeable assets. So I can expand a yard, rearrange a yard, or build a yard (Farm Manager/Start from Scratch) using the on map building style. This copies and expands on the premise given us in Ravenport and Felsbrun, thoug...

Re: Marwell Manor field missions..

10 came up as a baling contract for me. Though I've found there's an issue with harvest contracts on 1, 2 & 3 - first contract I did, I was about 2kl short and harvested 100% of the field, I had to use some of the crop from my own silo to make up the difference.

Re: Please can we have Giants

I'd like to see the HUERLIMANN XM T4i ported over from FS17. Discovered this little tractor the last weekend before the FS19 release - and it places well as an all rounder for a small farm. Was that one ever on the modhub? I can only find the 17 version by an independent author on independent sites...
