Make sure global company is up to date. Also make sure your game is on the newest version. If it is still giving you problems please provide us with your log.txt file so we can better assist you.

My suggestion would be to start off small. Perhaps changing vehicle speed and hp. Then changing wheels or adding parts from other vehicles or mods, for personal use of course. That way when you decide to create your own 3d model you already have some knowledge of ge and the xml's so you are not cons...

Select the model in the scenegraph, go to file>export>selected, name it and make sure you select .obj file format. Go to the original mod and you should be able to replace the zip file with the new one. If that option is not available you need to contact Giants so they can change the state of the mod to allow you to upload the new file.

I think the tip collision on a placeable is determined by setting 3 transform groups and adding the correct lines in the XML.

My suggestion is to look at one of Giants placeables to get a better idea of how to make it work.
