Re: One field with multiple crops?

I did it accidentally. I was part way through a planting session when I saved, and on restarting I accidentally changed the seed type. I didn't notice until it all started to grow.... Harvesting was easy at it just stopped cutting when it reached the change over point. I didn't think a farmer would ...

Re: Engineer check-in

I am a materials engineer, in both qualifications and working life. I have enough materials experience to look things up and understand most of what I read about materials, as I don't have the total memory recall for facts and figures. It has all been by circumstance rather than design. I wasn't pus...

Re: Addon "Straw Harvest" for Farming Simulator 19!

Most used was the square baler as I could lay down three at once, followed by the telehandler three lift. I converted one silo at the biogas plant into bale storage and used the pelletiser there, being fed by a skid loader. I found the crane awkward to use so I stopped using the pallet factory, so I...

Re: Manure vs Synthetic Fertilizer

I'm not one for doing lots of animals so I let it build up a bit and then do my smaller fields as it never seems to go far with the solid manure. In real life, the grass fields just over the hill from me have been done with manure and it's a rather 'country' smell outside at the moment... two days l...

Re: Hope all my virtual farmer peeps staying safe!

I thought I might get told to go home today as the British Govt had decided on Monday night that the population should only go out to buy essential supplies (only one person at a time and as little as possible) for exercise once a day, or for essential work. Turns out I do essential work... I think ...

Re: UK Farmers - why no love for Valtra?

The Valtra's are certainly rare beasts near me. I occasionally see a tractor or two whilst commuting by cycle so it's often trundling past or in the opposite direction. More often than not they tend to be pulling a dumper trailer with a mini digger in the back, and its often a green JD. I have only ...

Re: The Greatest Thing I Ever Created

I am very impressed. You must have some patience though. I put a folding rack near one of my sheds just for seeds and I clipped it with the pallet and it wasn't pretty. I also have a set of fixed racks at my other farm but the liquid fertiliser have a habit of jumping off the top every so often. Whi...

I was stumped for a minute or two until I remembered I take a screenshot of the email with the code, and keep it alongside other shopping website orders.. Took a few seconds to find it but at least it was there

Re: Other games played ?

I've started to play elite dangerous. But I'm only prepared to get blown into the vacuum of space so many times before I come back to farming.

Funny thing is, Elite is now a lot more dangerous than when I used to play the original in the late 80s!!!

Re: Brand loyalty

Currently I have a couple of old fendts on my working arable land,When I need a bit of muscle then I get my MB Trac out for that. I have a classic Ford with the cows, pigs and sheep, along with a JD skidsteer. I really like Claas (especially the Xerion), so I have a telehandler, and Xerion, plus a c...

Re: 150 mph tractor run!

Guy Martin certainly gets about and does a lot of things, including a Q and A session where I was able to buy a music CD of his favourite rock tracks, and a proper Team TAS Suzuki polo shirt. However, he was being pushed into things in his early TV days, but the production team learned how to work w...

Re: How does Giants model so much equipment?

I would like to know how many items go through modelling without making it into the game? When I used to play racing car games, I was, admittedly briefly, in possession of a car that was scanned by the Gran Turismo game for the playstation. Not only was the car I'd taken to charity trackday, but als...

Re: Can't attach conveyor to tractors to move it

Not quite the same issue as you but might be worth a try? I'd mowed a large field and decided to try using the anderson large square bale wrapper which can be driven at 2mph or towed with a tractor. I bought it, and found the Claas I was in wouldn't connect up, so I hired a medium sized New Holland ...

Re: Seasons add on - Desiccating

I just had to google Roundup as I was sure that's a broad spectrum weedkiller in the UK.. I also had to look up Reglone as I've never heard of that.. Turns out it contains Diquat which is a contact herbicide that produces desiccation and defoliation most often available as the dibromide, diquat dibr...

Re: Newbie With NO Experience Questions

Hello Old Fuelwood.

I think you need to drive to the work site and then when your about to start loading, you need to reverse your driving direction. At that point the cab swings round and you / the driver will track the crane grab

Hope that solves your issue :hi:
