Re: Why Farming Simulator?

I just happened to see an online vid of the wood harvester in FS15 and decided I had to have a go and the rest is history. I used to play a lot of games of all manner of types. Driving and shooting stuff, but they kept getting harder and harder and I found it wasn't relaxing any more, whereas I can ...

Re: Tractor spotting on road trips

I saw a tractor working in a field the other night, but part of me wishes I hadn't. A John Deere was muck spreading and seemed to be going over the same grassy ground. As I'm cycling up the hill I see him heading for the gate. He got to the road just ahead of me and I was wishing him to turn down th...

Re: Tractor spotting on road trips

I saw an usual sight on the way to work the other day, A fairly large New Holland with a trailer, parked on the foot path. It struck me as an odd place to be given there's nothing even approaching a farm in the area. He must've been having a bad morning as I passed I could see he was trying to move ...

Re: How cold is it where you are right now?

Cold I can deal with, but not some of your arctic colds on here.. Right now it's just wet.. I don't like cold and wet..

The other morning I set off to work on my cycle and I passed a street sign that read -5°C Most days it shows 2 or 3

Re: What cars do you own at home?

I've had two extremes at the same time. Land Rover Series IIA from 1966 which worked its way through 3 chassis, 6 axles, 3 engines, two gearboxes, and sundry other bits.. The last job I did was a new bulkhead, By the time I was forced to give it up, all I had left was the bonnet, the roof and 1 piec...

Re: What's this??

I've had this package since Christmas, and I think it just adds more variety to it. I don't worry about making money as I can cheat that, but it's possible to make a few quid from converting hay bales to pellets which are also universal animal feed. I've used straw pellets as animal bedding for my p...

Re: FEEDBACK: ITSI-Project

I've had a little play with this and I do like it. I went right in for the high power version but found the acceleration and braking was a bit dramatic. I then bought a standard engine power version and that drove better. I will be getting your updates as and when they pop up. I've been after a smal...

I'd also like to join in the festivities and wish everyone a happy Christmas and a great New Year, and I'd like to add, I have a Christmas T-Shirt with 'Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal' printed on it...

... I also have Yoda, with 'Elf, I am not' on it :biggrin2:

Re: Seasons mod growth

I've wondered about anhydrous ammonia mods when I've seen them but never bothered using any. I work with ammonia gas and that stuff is terrible if it gets is your nose, and your eyes. When too concentrated, it manages to get past my full face respirator and I've gotta leave it to vent. Just the thou...

Re: Such a boring game

I haven't ever worked on a farm so I have no real life comparison but I#m not addicted to this game. It's just that I 'prefer' farming to doing just about anything else. I have very occasionally had a quick go before going to work. I think I wouldn't be putting in quite so much time if it wasn't for...

Re: Tractor spotting on road trips

I spotted another nice set up the other day..

Large JD, pulling a 3 axle transport trailer (similar to the Chieftan triaxle on the modhub) with a medium sized excavator on the back.

Re: Tractor spotting on road trips

I have on occasions seen a local council tractor out and about between landscaping duties. Last night a pretty big John Deere passed me (I cycle a lot) pulling a large and fully loaded trailer which was 'steaming' a little :hmm: My most unexpected sight was at a fencing company and I only got a glim...

Re: Who cheats every map ?

I have a lot of hours on the main map. Actually, a huge amount of hours! But I also have over 4million in the bank, and not all of its be earned fair and square. I have a habit of hiring equipment I'd like to try, so I pay the initial sum and give it a go. Then before I start my game the next day, I...

Re: Spintires

I've played the original version a lot and now I'm getting into this version too. It's funny looking at the maps I've unlocked as they're the same as before and yet some of the roads have moved about a bit. I did get myself into a pickle with a medium load on a ural whilst attempting a shortcut. I c...

Re: Spintires

I've done my pre-order for this over the weekend. I've been playing the original demo and then the actual game for a good while. It's a good bit cheaper than running my old hybrid Land Rover used to be and when I bend it I don't need to get the spanners out, I can just press reset :biggrin2:
