Re: Farming simulator 19 vs GTA 5
Read from the beginning of page 6, and you'll see my summary is spot on. Summary addition: Critical feedback almost always leads to hurt feelings. I have read every page, and many similar threads, and I can see that I am spot on - but then, as you say, critical feedback of anything including critic...

Re: Farming simulator 19 vs GTA 5
Summary: - Giants FS is perfectly optimized for 100% of players, and to say otherwise is so lacking in originality as to be obvious and boring. - No other game could even comes close to the capabilities of FS. - If your fps is low, it's your fault. - If you even think think of mentioning another ga...

Re: Silage
Bit of an old thread, but I wanted to mention that while Courseplay seems to throw all sorts of issues at me, I set up a similar course with AutoDrive and it works almost flawlessly! I was able to automate my whole silage operation besides the pushing on the pit. And the best part is, AutoDrive doe...

Re: Pigs, are they worth it?
I run 1,000 pigs on Greenwich in three units. They do make a lot of money for me, as long as I keep moving the weaners out of my smaller breeding pen and into the fatten yards because otherwise the breeder pen fills up and they stop breeding. The big change for me was putting in the feed mixer (it'...

Re: Pigs, are they worth it?
So what is your yearly net income for this 1000 pigs? To be honest, I've never bothered to calculate net profit on any of my farms -- I gave up being an account 20+ years ago -- but from a playing perspective, they make enough money to keep adding to the bank balance, which I then spend on new kit ...

Re: A lot of questions about farming in real life
I'm in East Anglia, in the UK, and we are on chalky boulder clay, the same ridge of chalk that makes up the Downs and the white cliffs of Dover, so we don't need lime, if anything farmers here will use vegetation-based compost that tends to be more acidic. To the north there are the fens which are p...

Re: Seasons... Yes or no?
I only play with Seasons, playing without (to me) is like music without rhythm. I play 9 days seasons, on 5x speed unless the game messes up n which case I might go to 1x to even 0x, except on Greenwich where I've just started playing 12 days seasons because I'm struggling to get the winter crops so...
