Re: Farming Classics

Again I was raised around farms and live on farm country. So I basically imitate what I was taught. I also make compost now from grass clippings and leaves. So I make green manure almost all year long.

Re: Farming Classics

That is the idea of the hay loft placeable. Take you bales and store them for later use/sale and keep the map free of frame rate lag. Found it has helped with Lone Oak Farm a ton. I thresh up 40 bales. Off load into the hay loft. The draw them out later for selling. Like in real life. You would stor...

Re: Farming Classics

It is funny cause I grew up around farms. And want to buy an abandoned farm to rebuild back up. Plus I would love to have an APN shipped from Europe as my everyday baler. Simply cause the baler was set to produce 150 bales on one spool of twin. And could bale at speeds up to 8 mph with zero issue. S...

Re: Farming Classics

And I can store and off load a wagon at 1 game hour with the X5 clock speed. But 40 bales to load in a tipper can take 2-4 game hours. So the set up used in real life would allow for the loading process to become almost 4-6 times faster.

Re: Farming Classics

And the wagon wouldn't need a script. Cause auto offloading is not needed with the conveyor on console doing that work. Cause I use that with a tipper. Then use the conveyer with a feed wagon to crush up 40 bales at a time . Then put them in a silo or hay loft. Then just withdraw X about of hay. Fee...

Re: Farming Classics

That towed trailer is nothing fancy. Every pressed baler had the adjustable bale conveyer in the back. The key was just a caged trailer that allowed the bales to fall naturally in the wagon. If needed. A farm hand was in the wagon with a bale hook to rearrange the bales to the rear of the wagon. Mos...

Re: Farming Classics

And the Fahr APN should have a hitch between the rear twine bins. I never understood why Giants never disigned the bale loader as a direct self unloading wagon. But I found a couple photos without links that show the hitch. It extends out about 2 foot from the bottom of the baler. A simple pin hitch...

Re: Farming Classics

Just looking around at more Fahr equipment to help give you an entire pack. Here is a Fahr Flail chopper that can directly cut grass and crops like wheat, canola, and barley. As well as process windrows of grass. https://paulbee.picturepush.com/showformat.php?format=1024&alid=373413&imgid=14...

Re: Farming Classics

This image shows how to do it without scripts. The force of the flow of the bales help with the loading. I see Giants made the bale collector. Cause scripts like the item pick up lacked in 2011. But this idea is natural. Plus like I said. And invisible hitch on the baler won't bother me. Cause this ...

Re: Farming Classics

Cause there was a farmer who did this for years with a new holland baler that didn't have a bale launcher feature. And he could easily do 200 bales in 3 wagons by himself a day. But this would be easy for console without needing a script as you just use a hitch feature for the APN. And a wagon that ...

Re: Farming Classics

Okay so this is a thing. And I am sure it wouldn't require much for the APN to have a invisible hitch either. And I have mentioned this about the fahr sickle bar having it's own spliced PTO. Now anyway I know we have had enough annoyance on console with the APN not having an allocated way to self lo...

Re: Farming Classics

Agreed. Cause a lack of solid dump trucks and solid flatbeds. And slurry tanker rigs has made the farm experience a little dull.

Re: Farming Classics

Oh. If you are talking about the Guldner G40 loader. I personally never use that. As the loader is not able to handle wound bales. I always use the MF240 or 20D/20B for a loader. Or if I go with the Fortschritt 320-A. I have never gotten into the G40 loader. Cause it's lack of functionality kills it...

Re: Farming Classics

But 60's-80's doesn't mean it wouldn't fit. Cause a ton of trucks were made in 6 wheel to 14 wheel configuration. As gas was not an issue. And Most manufacturers had trucks like the GMC Brigadier come in 6 wheel 4500 2.5 ton size up to 9500 road tractor and tri-axle severe duty form for heavy loggin...

Re: Farming Classics

See I am kinda hard on this subject. As a 2 ton truck would fit more of a 4000-6000 liter grain tank. Not being impartial here. But their is only 1 rig in the 2.5 ton range that actually would then carry a 8000-12000 liter load. And was about to haul 20 ton of load. Being built from 1935-1959 and sa...
