By default, FS19 does not have vehicle lights cast shadows, nor do most map lights. Only spot and directional lights can cast shadows. Currently, setting each <light type="spot"> tag to have castShadowMap="true" must be tediously added manually to each I3D file. A mod to do this ...

I'm back at my gaming PC and put shadowPerspective="true" (not shadowMapPerspective="true" ) into every spotlight of my test vehicle (a New Holland T6 tractor) and every spotlight in mapUS.i3d that casts shadows but I still get flickering at certain camera angles so not sure what...

Shadow movement from sun/moon (directional lights) is in steps for some reason. Supposedly Giants is aware of this but FS has been like this since at least FS 2009. Not sure if it's in this thread but someone tried changing the sun/moon light to spot (which have smooth-moving shadows) but it didn't ...

The trailer has flickering the upside part of the red back.
That isn't flickering but the streetlight shadow moving over the trailer...

What red square? Pics look fine to me too (aside from all foliage NOT casting shadows, which can be fixed with the foliage and tree shadows mod).

The Photobox links just end up at the main website and the video doesn't show any flickering that I can see...

The shadows are terrible. How on earth do i fix this. I tried setting "ShadowMapPerpesctive=true" but the shadows still glitch and move and update slowly. I am playing with a 1080 Ti with Very high settings and can't make the shadows smooth. Its unplayable like this! :/ Did you put shadow...

The problem with setting the sun/moon to be a spot light is that the shadows will be cast in a cone (/\)--albeit a very long, stretched cone--from the light source instead of at "infinite parallel lines" (\\\\\) so there would be some shadow angle distortion because of the game's sun light...

Cool that "shadowMapPerspective" will keep the shadows at all angles. I'm on Christmas vacation but will have to try this when I get back!

Shadow update occurs relative to how fast the game speed is. Increase the speed to 120x and the shadows move much faster than 5x and 1x. Unfortunately, the shadows don't move smoothly (interpolated) which is annoying to some people but apparently that's the way the engine renders shadow movements.

We are aware of the issue and will see how we can improve this in the future. Still happens in FS19. How could you guys "rework" the game engine lighting but, apparently, not even touch shadows? Still flickering, can't render more than 10 shadow lights, and stepped shadow movement. Come o...

I uploaded a "mod" with all the foliage and trees casting shadows at http://www.modhub.us/farming-simulator-2019-mods/foilage-tree-shadows-1/ (pending approval). Good job, do you see a small change makes a big difference? and it has no impact on performance. There is some lag with FPS dip...

I believe directional light, which the sun and moon are in FS19, don't have a specific position like point and spot lights do per se. I'll have to test this by trying to move the sun above the sky.i3d layer, if possible, but clouds do block the sun already so not sure.

I think the line is telling the game to load the sound that is in your .xml <sounds> <tensionBelt template="SWITCH_01"/> </sounds> it makes it load what ever sound you put thier in your .xml Yes but there's no <sound> tag defined in the tensionBelts.lua specialization so it looks like, up...
