Re: If I had one critique of the game, trees.
Trees have different levels of detail depending on how far away from them you are. Even extending the lower resolution detail level clip distance has a dramatic effect in performance. I increased it on my map a little bit but if I extended it to the distance I wanted to it would have tanked frame r...

Re: If I had one critique of the game, trees.
Draw distance or clip distance is applied to every single model on a map, including equipment and vehicles. A mod map maker can adjust these to whatever value they wish. As has been pointed out, higher clip distances mean more objects being rendered, meaning less FPS. On PC you can adjust the draw d...

A. Why will doors not open?? Shows open door, but no button prompt B. Don’t see any John Deere anything, maybe because I’m on Xbox one C. Any way can add different cars, like the Bronco, Guess figuring out how to open doors to shop on Xbox one A: What doors, what building on the map? It's possible ...

Re: Buried trees and map creators
It seems the trend even more so for Fs19 to slate the modders while offering no actual proof of a solution to the issues they are complaining about. But then these types of people love to complain about others work, but aren't prepared to let there own work be judged as harshly. As has been said it'...

Re: Buried trees and map creators
I'm hoping this gets spread around more. Burying trees to get better landscape appeal should be avoided like the plague. It's effectively polluting the map with really bad base trees models. Thanks And what would you suggest they do instead? Map makers do this to make natural scenery looks more rea...

Re: Longer development
Something I don't see said in this discussion, but maybe GIANTS issue is the staff themselves. From the outside looking in they seem to be stuck in a dev bubble. Speaking with some modders who chat to GIANTS they often say the same thing about them which is there is this mentality of "whats the...

Re: Stolen mods in mod contest
Well I for one think its right they did this to him as he has a bad habbit of crying foul when someone don't give him credit for his mods, Turnabout is fair play. I won’t quote the entire post but I agree 100 percent with everything you said. At this point I think his only regrets are not getting a...

Re: Lone Oak for FS19 rip off
I feel sorry for BulletBill and the ones involved with making Lone Oak. The abuse he's getting for sticking up for his rights is crazy. Some people would rather have a rubbish convert of a map and disrespect the original author, as well as breach his creative copyright, than wait for the official ve...

Re: For all the JHHG fans
If you release your own original mod publicly on the internet you haven't automatically given up your rights to it. So people cannot do whatever they want to it. Creative copyright law is quite straight forward on this matter. With regards Farm Sim mods, once the model has been ingamed using GE you ...

Re: Is FS19 missing something?
Perhaps there is more behind this than we realise. For instance I've played Farm Sim 17 on both Console and PC and they are night and day difference. I played BulletBills West Coast map, and the difference was massive. For starters the draw distance is massively reduced on console, whereas the custo...

Re: Is FS19 missing something?
@chedly_farms Your explanation of Fs19 missing something is exactly how I feel about it as well. Funnily enough I was on Frontier Design's Discord this last week and "BulletBill" was explaining to someone who had asked him about why he doesn't like Fs19, and his comments were very similar ...

Re: GIANTS focus on the Placeable system for Fs19 was a mistake.
@bossmanslim @muzickmage Mercury Farms is one of the least realistic looking maps out there, instead it is geared towards the gameplay side which Alien Jim has done a very good job, but it comes at the expense of realistic looking scenery. Placeable hedges and fences not being able to work on anythi...

Re: GIANTS focus on the Placeable system for Fs19 was a mistake.
Maybe the issue is you players who want something that is not possible. GIANTS hyped up the placeable system so much you actually thought you could do whatever you wanted. The reality is the placeable system will never do want you want. To make every object on a map placeable is not feasible. For st...

Re: GIANTS focus on the Placeable system for Fs19 was a mistake.
You realize this isnt true right, look at all the mod maps out right now. Lots of the ones I've checked out have multiple animal pens already on the map. I don't understand what you are saying here, it has and will always been impossible for mappers to appeal to everyone. No, the building system ne...
