Is the map not season and straw harvest compatible? Does the map not support ccm?

Re: Real life farming related pics

When you deal with oats, you understand why they say it is an old timers crop. You can like feel the years and years of dirt on it even if it is just a year old crop ha.

Re: Five essential and realistic mods (Modhub)

Yeah that wouldn't really be feasible for most. The amount of locker space needed, plus workers, plus shippers, licenses, tools needed, etc. The only way you could maybe get it to work if you had a lot of extra assets and hired a manger and could buy more land and space.

Re: Fuel usage on console

Yeah, I think they are pretty realistic on the tractors hours. They scaled down every else in the game, but fuel consumption. If you want to fill up more often, you need to get more acres. I farm 400 acres on midwest horizons and had to fill up twice just putting anhydrous on.

Re: Harvest

Yeah it is. I can't imagine what the Iowa corn farmers experienced. I'm glad our corn is still standing.

Re: Five essential and realistic mods (Modhub)

I wouldn't like that. A lot of times you don't even need to ted one to make hay. We don't even own a Tedder, but have borrowed a neighbors twice in the last 6 years. Both times it was 1st cutting too in the spring.

Re: Five essential and realistic mods (Modhub)

I'm sure. My uncle is an insurance agent, so we go through him and have for years and there were times in the pass he didn't want us putting a claim in, probably because it hurts his commission payment. He was mad 2 years ago when most of the crop was on the ground and we wanted to turn in a claim.

Re: Seasons difficulty

Well we have about 1300 acres in crops too. We do both. I think what you read is different than experiences, at least for this area.

Re: Seasons difficulty

Not really. In the US USDA offers 60+ different "aid" packages to farmers, such as crop insurance, market price insurance and so forth. Savvy farmers don't go to the bank first. Writing documentation *censored*. Where are you from? Have your experienced any other those payments first hand? All farm...
