GrowthStage map color

Hi all, I've got a rather uncommon issue. I'm colorblind but not the most common type. Instead of red/green colorblindness (Deuteranomaly or Protanomaly) I have tritanomaly, often called blue/yellow colorblindness. While I don't completely lack the ability to tell the colors apart, it's exceedingly ...

Yup, it's by SiiD Modding. I found it elsewhere, on the subReddit, IIRC. There's a download link via Google Drive in this FB post.

Re: What's going on, on your farm?

Whew! Finally managed to get both "main fields" fully planted and fertilized. Took some tinkering and a new tractor with narrow tires since I screwed up and had to do the second half after the crops had sprouted but I finally got it done. (Now I just need to figure out if liquid fertilizer or solid ...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?

I spent a bunch of time on Midwest Horizon cutting trees to combine fields 12, 13, and 14 into one giant squarish field, though the edges have enough curves and such to keep it interesting. I got enough for the various trees and what I had planted in field 10 to buy fields 8 and 81. Just combined th...

Re: Vehicle running cost - what is it?

I'd consider repairs to be more like replacing parts that have worn out with running costs being things such as regular maintenance. So basically oil, lubricants, tuneups, and so on. The cost still seems high to me but not ever having worked with a real tractor or on a real farm I'm certainly not qu...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?

I've been slowly expanding my Midwest Horizon properties. I sold the starting ones, picked up 9, 12, and 13 then combined 12 & 13. I ran harvest contracts for a while then turned field 9 into a home base when I had the funds. I just bought field 14 last night and am working on getting it set up so I...

Merry Christmas from Seattle! It's not white here (it very rarely is) but at least it isn't wet.

Re: Dinamic sky

And I can counter that with the fact that where I am, Seattle, the sky is rarely all blue or all clouds. Heck, even when it's pouring rain sometimes there's blue sky in places! Heck out on the coast where I grew up the clouds would come in bands like a strip of ribbon. This is normal. Normal my foo...

well indeed "A phenomenon", an event that does not happen every time. sometimes even here in the plains of Italy. but not every time, in fact when the meteorologist happens it says "there is variable" and not cloudy. When is cloudy the sky is all white. And I can counter that with the fact that whe...

Re: Dinamic sky

OK but the game, at best, is only supposed to approximate reality. And my point is that in reality w often don't have full cloud cover either. It's extremely common to have gaps on all sides of the clouds in real life as well. The clouds aren't a monolithic "there or not there" thing. They bunch up...

Re: Thoughts on more wrapped bales

After corn harvest some farmers will take a rotary mower and mow down the remaining stalk. Then go thru and windrow them and bale that for cow/cattle bedding. Apparently, the new modest horizon map you can bale corn stalks now. Unfortunately that isn't and won't come to console this year, but still...

Re: Dinamic sky

However this is actually a phenomenon Exactly. Cloud cover is virtually never truly uniform. Heck, here in Seattle it's downright common to have blue at the horizon with clouds above us. It's also quite common to have a little patch of blue in an otherwise cloudy sky. I agree that sometimes this ca...

Re: headlights range

Yeah, I don't like doing anything in the dark ha. Yeah, using heavy equipment in the dark is a recipe for disaster. I'm absurdly light sensitive and see quite well indeed at night but there's no way in heck you'd catch me trying to use heavy machinery in real life in the dark. You literally couldn'...
