Re: Top Maps (Console Edition)

My go to has been Welker. I love the wide open spaces and the relatively flat terrain that makes building a farm from scratch very simple.

Re: Mods In Testing - Fan Discussion

Sandy Bay must have failed. It was on the list for a second a few days ago. Any word on that?

Re: Manure vs Synthetic Fertilizer

Irl with 3000 hogs and 200 head of cattle they will produce a lot of soils and liquid manure. There is no place around here to sell it like you can the game. Then you are left with only one option to haul it out and fertilize your fields. If you decide not to haul it out and let things overflow, 1 ...

Manure vs Synthetic Fertilizer

We were having a manure discussion in a previous thread of mine and a few of you were talking about how you handle manure from the pen to the field. At the time, I did not appreciate the reasons for which you would haul the manure to the field, leave it there, and then later load it into a spreader....

Re: Mod hub issues ps4, anyone else have them????

I've noticed that Modhub has been getting stuck on the loading screen much more often lately on PS4. When I back out of the modhub screen and try to reload it it works normally.

Re: Large Animal Pastures

Thanks for the answer. But to your point about the pens feeling empty, that is kind of a realistic look. I've never seen grazing cows standing shoulder to shoulder in the field. But yeah, being able to paint a pasture would mean you don't need to flatten the terrain and could thus get a really natur...

Large Animal Pastures

I was just wondering why there are such limited options available in terms of placing very large animal areas. I'm talking about really big open pastures for cows and sheep. https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=137588&title=fs2019 The mod linked above is the best and o...

Re: Here's an idea:

We had winter rye down and after just a few months you can literally see the difference in the top 6 inches or so of the soil.

I've found that the shovel works really well for this. Though I have had issues with dumping the food back in certain modded pens.

Re: Question for Aussiefarmer

Does it even snow in Queensland? Very very rarely. From what I can see it snowed once in 1984, and again in 2015. Australia doesn’t see much snow outside a few alpine regions of NSW, Victoria, and Tasmania. Although those few Alpine regions see more snowfall than most snowy European countries I ask...

Re: Here's an idea:

I was thinking it might make sense to make certain brands need to be repaired more often or to be more expensive to repair, but that would probably be an issue with licensing. I'm sure x brand would probably not appreciate it if their equipment were modeled as being unreliable and would probably pul...

Re: Here's an idea:

@SimpleFarmer - I think its a good idea. A nice way to add more real incentive to buy quality equipment besides the "it looks cool" factor. Plus, it is a good way to make yield dependent on choices you make. All this without over complicating the game by adding soil types and such. Seems like it cou...
