I know that,I am not an *$#%§*, but the ethanol plant takes soybeans and makes bio diesel and gives you soybean meal.

Iowa Plains
I am really digging this map. I think my plan is to start a large scale hog operation and build an ethanol plant to make soybean meal to make hog feed. That hog barn is really nice.

I personally like to watch RD Allen, he plays relatively realistic and the thing I enjoy most about him is that he is actually knowledgeable about real life farming.

Around here it’s mostly gone to no-till or strip till. We don’t have too worry much about the cold wet ground in the spring you guys up north have. We worry more about saving moisture.

It’s funny how different regions call implements different names. Where I’m from, a chisel plow is really like a v shank ripper to other people. I haven’t seen a moldboard plow used in over twenty years.

I just thought it would be easier to group all shanked rippers into one category rather than listing all of the names of them.

In most parts of the US you won’t find a traditional moldboard plow being used. Mostly farmers use subsoilers now.

West Texas will be mostly corn, beans, wheat and hay. Some cotton too.

Definitely you have too start them on a high roughage diet and make sure they are slicking the bunks.

We fed rolled corn and chopped dry alfalfa. This was also for steers on feed and not milk cows. I find myself mostly feeding steers in this game when using seasons.

The ability to hire an agronomist to do the sampling is intriguing. I have spent time as an agronomist doing just this and this is really how it’s mostly done in the part of the US where I’m from.
