I believe the issue is with the water that wraps around the farm, which has a collision. A friend who was running into the same issue placing hedges edited it in GE and unchecked the collision for that water plane and that allowed him to place them. I used to fuss with conveyors too, but I'm a milling machine convert. I use the same loading wagon that I picked the grass up with in the first place. Set the tractor's cruise control to 1 mph, and steer now and again.

Adding on to the excellent points above: Sometimes you will find a building in the game that's not in the map in Giants Editor. Those are generally found in defaultItems.xml in the map mod (and then in items.xml in your savegame after you first save a game on that map). You can edit the defaultItems...

Stone Valley 2x also has Field grass, but by default (PC at least) there is no sell point for it.
I definitely had good luck with cotton in the larger fields on New Woodshire.

Looks like a map update for both console and PC is in the works, based on his FB page. Console description mentions new save required; I assume that will apply to PC as well. Curious to see the changes.

I'm puzzled that Field Grass/incarase_grass is one of the added fruits you can plant, but none of the sell points buy it.

When you start a new game on a map, some fields need to be plowed and some don't. Planting doesn't take that plowing state away. Also turning off periodic plowing doesn't remove the plowing state from the pda. If you plow it once, you don't have to plow it again, or just click it on the pda to not ...
