Re: Chellington Valley

I have over 1200 hours in FS19. Just over a thousand of those are on OxygenDavid maps. If Giants’ shortsighted, stupid “handling” of modders drives Oxy out, I am done. No more money. No more time. And most certainly active and strong recommendations and reviews against anyone wasting their money or ...

Re: Salt Spreaders & Silos

Not to be rude, but it sounds like your problem is with the production mod, not the rest of the game. If it produces something you don’t need and can’t sell, is there a point to it?

Re: How Big Do You Like to Farm?

All depends on the map. For a long while I was in an “English phase”, with tight maps and small equipment. After that got claustrophobic, I went for big US style fields and massive equipment. I am just starting a new save where I get to combine the two on the new Holme Wold Farm 4x map...

I’m just the opposite; I hoard. I have every single JD mod, yet I hateJD and refuse to use them in any game, on any map, in any way...

*shrug*

The first step is admitting you have a problem, right?

Re: How long do you keep, use, equipment?

Running 9 day seasons,I don’t even notice equipment hours until they are over 40 or so. My work hose tractors will be in the 60-70 hour range before I start thinking about replacement. In the end, however, I only replace them when something can do the job better. For example: I have a 360-hp Optum o...

I’m having the same thing on Stone Valley, although only to the TLX 2020 pickup, and only (I think) when I leave it attached to a trailer when I log out...

Re: Best European maps by European countries

Poland — I like Nowa Bruzda, but I haven’t played a lot of Polish maps Germany — Geiselsberg, Eiersholt (4x) and an honorable mention to Kandolin (also 4x, but with normal sized fields) France/Western Europe — TVTOF UK — Oakfield, Sandy Bay, Growers Farm USA — for normal size I’d go with Lone Oak, b...

As a Millenial Farmer fan, the funniest moment actually came from their Off The Husk podcast when their pig-farmer friend referred to young pigs as “bacon seeds”.

Don’t think of calves as veal, just as burger seeds!

Re: Console maps with a lot of trash and junk strewn about...

I’m with you on that. Maps with trash and junk everywhere don’t look “interesting”, they just look like junkyards. It wouldn’t be so bad if we could delete the stuff without having to go through the BS of the Giants Editor, but since we DO have to use GE to clean up their mess, I just delete maps th...

Re: Do you change your farming “business model” for different maps?

Oh, I have to change, if only to keep it fresh. I change while the map is in process, too. Usually I try to fit in with what the map author “wants”, but not always... On Stone Valley I play as a family farm that is growing into a big corporate concern — I will do anything and everything to make the ...

Re: Halo in Farm sim

I'd be dropping support an email asking this myself. So long as it's only a modder's interpretation of the map without any licensed names or assets converted then I suspect it would be OK, but it's definitely worth asking GIANTS themselves first. As someone who writes for a living — so copyrights m...

Looks like the FI Feed Mixer is making a comeback into my mod list, then.

Re: I'm taking suggestions! Hit me with your best shot....Fire Away!

I’m kind of in the same as boat with Stone Valley and MNMF. I wanted to do a proper American 4x map for that big feeling, but Nebraska Lands showed just how much of a potato I have on my desk. So, instead, I decided to split my time with two Start from Scratch games that both are working out quite w...
