Re: Stick users
I use the same setup as Noraf via a Logitech G920 plus an add on gear knob with two switches. I use the Extra Gears mod as well. I edited several truck transmission XML files to have six gears plus two ranges (for 12-speed transmissions) or three ranges (for 18-speed transmissions). You could do the...

Re: Question about Precision Farming Crop sensor
Correct, crop sensors only help when fertilizing. They do not help with herbicide. Turn the crop sensor on whenever you are fertilizing with a fertilizer spreader or sprayer. From experimentation, using the crop sensor when using a seeder or planter that both seeds and fertilizes doesn't provide 100...

Re: multiple input devices for mapping to 1 key binding
Like Noraf wrote, your best bet assigning a dedicated button for direction changes. I chose to add a shift knob with two switches and a button to the shifter on my wheel and pedal setup. The button is exclusively for direction changes, giving me a sort of pseudo shuttle.

Here's a gravity wagon with a built in auger that's great for hauling seed and fertilizer: Lizard Tolva Pack You can hitch two together to haul seed and fertilizer at the same time Here's a european option that can do the same: Lizard P93S Pack When your budgetary constraints ease there's a seed and...

Re: Precision Farming Questions
Glad to help! You've taught me something; I always assumed I had to spray the entire field.

Re: Precision Farming Questions
On Elmcreek I have joined fields [...] Is it normal for it to still show individual field PF environment scores? 1.) Yes, this is normal. PF always shows individual scores because the fields began as multiple plots. Did you take soil samples after you merged the fields? You need to for the max soil...

Re: Trouble Installing Lizard M-3000 Universal Pickup Header
Is it appearing in the list of mods you've downloaded? If so, make sure you're looking for "M-3000" not "Lizard M-3000" when you try to activate it for your savegame. It's with other mods starting with 'M' rather than 'L'; I nearly made the same mistake.

Re: Large 4WD Ford Tractors
There's a New Holland 9882 in BCBuhler's Versatile/New Holland 4WD Tractors https://farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=230396&title=fs2022 pack. There's also a pretty credible rumor Giants is making some form of Versatile DLC; no promises about it containing any Desi...

Re: Woodcraft Modding
I'm resurrecting this dead thread. I really like Woodcraft Modding's forestry harvesters but the crane controls seemed to be reversed from everything else (using twin joysticks). Is there a way to un-reverse them? Which of his machines? The Tigercat 822D is correctly set up for ISO controls with Ti...

Re: Relight
I wish we could choose which vehicles we wanna shift. Mostly my issue is with skid loaders. The sharp turning coupled with shifting and tight spots equals frustration. But I agree, tractors and shifting was the sole reason I've gone this long doing it manually. An option while in vehicle to switch ...

Re: The Hannibal T50
In real life Impex (manufacturer of the T50) and Kern specialize in low disturbance tree harvesting. The T50 has a higher lifting capacity for its reach than anything else on the market. Combined with its ability to grab and hold a tree after cutting, it can make fewer passes through a forest, which...

Re: Seeder?
Well the 16-row planter I use has on-row hoppers... So just about every other pass. My air drill goes a good bit longer, so I refill seed and fertilizer whenever I start a new field; or when the low tank warning starts to beep at me.

Re: Thoughts on the Platinum DLC
They need to balance what their entire audience wants and what manufactures they can get licensed. There are decisions that confuse me too; there's a lot of Komatsu/Valmet, John Deere, and Volvo forestry equipment Giants theoretically has access to. We don't know what they wanted to add, nor do we k...

Re: Volvo shovels
I was disappointed they didn't add the big deep lug BKT forestry tires to the L120. I live in the Midwest United States, it's not uncommon to see big wheel loaders with high tip buckets on lugged forestry tires on big poultry farms. The loader in the video is bigger than anything I've seen used in p...

Re: The Giant Sequoia: aka Giant Ripoff
The first tree I harvested was a giant sequoia thinking with how large they were I would make a decent return. It took forever to cut all the limbs off, and then each of the 4 pieces I cut it into were so heavy the loader could hardly lift it. I could only bring 2 pieces at a time because they took...
