All the maps feel empty for me and i can't play a map for more than 20-30 hours. Most of them become boring after that. There is just no life...it's just me and traffic on rails. The few maps i played for more than 100 hours i had my farm in the corner of the map and didn't really drive around much....

You're playing on a broken map.

Rule of thumb, don't start a savegame on a map that has just been released. Wait for the map to get a couple of updates until it becomes ready for a playthrough.
