Re: Greenhouses
where are all the water tanks - the only one I can remember is at the homestead, but I know I've seen others. They go through about 2% of water and poo per hour, so have to fill them every two days? you can fill up your watertrailer at the rivers or the drinkingtroughs that are spread around Hagens...

Re: cow farm/biogas questions
I think the prices of milk stay the same, but there are different kinds of milk. It all depends on the feed. If you feed cattle only grass it'll have a productivity of 35%, if you add straw as a bedding it increases to 40-something%. If you manage to give them the mixed food (hay, silage and straw, ...

Re: Kuhn Primor 3570 M
It works almost the same as the self-propelled one. Park it with it's right side to the troughs and keep it hooked to a tractor. Then use a FEL to dump one bale of straw in the bucket. Switch to your tractor again and turn the Primor on (look for the unload-pictogram). That should do the trick. To m...

Re: Moving silage
After fermenting the stuff goes brown, if it's still green it's not silage yet.
I can also recommend the Lizard Frontloader. The scoop holds a massive 10k units of silage and it works a lot better than the weird silageforks on other machines.

Hey Les,
have you tried running one or the other? Maybe that'll help you out. It might also be that my compass-mod is of an earlier or later date. Cannot check that for you since I'm at work, i'll get back to ya!
grtz.

I have no problems with the compass, works like a charm for me. I haven't used the other one since I despise manual ignition

Re: Silage Prices Drop
I'm using both grass and corn for silage and I did notice some differences in price. Anything from 6k to 9k per scoop, but I've never seen it as low as 4k... Maybe the amount of silage you dropped made electricity cheaper for the people of Hagenstedt

Re: Can't cut grass
Hi Guys, thanks for the responses. I use 3 red mowers, 1 at the front, 2 at the back. then I press V and B (to turn them on and to lower them). I have tried driving at 1-2-3-4. All the same result. Nothing. The double mower lowers automatically if you unfold it, so pressing V would raise it again. ...

Re: How do you decide what tractor to buy?
Depends on the tasks I envision for it. I tend to use smaller tractors on the fields around the biogas-plant and the cowsheds. The bigger tractors are for cultivating and sowing and hauling freight to the sellpoints. the bigger tractors also handle the bigger implements a lot better. On the official...

Re: Quick question on Fertilizers
A slightly different but related question, how often do you need to fertilize or is once enough? You need to fertilize before every harvest. You may have noticed the field turns dark brown after you've sprayed it. the dark brown is removed with the harvest, so you need to spray again before your ne...
