Re: New Alienware 17 signature edition

looking at Amazon.com its about 300 and some dollars for 3 years of coverage. expensive but well worth it. with my desktop its not worth buying insurance for it. the chance of it breaking is very low.

Re: New Alienware 17 signature edition

I would suggest getting insurance on it. I have broke my share of laptops in the past. especially with children around the house.

Re: would this run a 4x map?

On my PC I run both standard and 4X maps. I do not see any performance difference between the two types of maps. In the game there is squares and how populated these squares are is how your PC will perform. I find with a U.K. style map that is loaded up with fences and hedges makes my PC work harder...

Re: New Alienware 17 signature edition

Wow, you got a nice machine. My Alienware is several years old and still plays the game good. I hate the idea of spending 2300 dollars on a new one so I hope mine lasts awhile.

Re: Forage harvester & grass / hay

I noticed this with the bale wrapper also. it turns hay back into grass so I don't use the tedder anymore when wrapping bales. I guess dry hay wouldn't ferment.

Re: Forage harvester & grass / hay

if you have no plans of chopping corn then the loading wagon may be better fit for you. I use the forage harvester for corn, chopping grass and harvesting populars so it pays for me to have one. if I need hay I bale it.

Re: Forage harvester & grass / hay

they must be running water through the system to keep the knives cool. like you said they must be crazy. A machine like this costs about 600k or more then take a chance of burning it up. wow.

Re: Forage harvester & grass / hay

IRL you would catch your forage harvester on fire if you tried chopping dried straw so it is unrealistic. For realistic reasons I chop my corn green. I haven't tried chopping green wheat yet it may not work. same with chopping dried hay as with the straw. with hay I either bale it or pick it up with...

Re: Chat thread 2.0

What you mean by marring someone from your settlement? Also, so if you leave from the culture, you get shunned and can never go back? I married outside of the faith. It was a really bad marriage neither of us were faithful to each other when my two daughters grew up I left her and because of that I...

If you grew up that way its not bad. I grew up with no tv no radio but we did have cars and tractors. I left the Mennonites about 35 years ago. I pay 150 dollars a month to Directv and very seldom use it. never turn the radio on in the car because I didn't grow up with it. The Internet is a differen...

Re: Chat thread 2.0

That is one thing I don't miss about Iowa is the weather. The weather was too extreme for me. I lived in Iowa from 1994-2000 and seen minus 70 degrees F windchill. Being born and raised in California I wasn't use to it. With the exception of a few hurricanes I like the weather here in North Carolina...
