Sorry, one thing I forgot to add. If using follow me to run a baler. Run a square baler so you don't have to keep jumping out to unload it. Unless you use the Auto-Unloading for Round Balers mod. Unless there is a giant update done to a map, it should not effect your existing save game. In the past I sometimes altered a map to my own liking, without starting all over. Don't worry, I never edited a map that had a non edit limit on it. And it was just for my own gameplay.

The latest beta version seems to have a slight issue with a combine. When it is doing spiral courses, the combine tends to steer left or right depending on your rotating. It must be a mod related issue. Don't know if it's due to the mod map or some other mod I have. But I got used to doing fertilization twice before seeding. It is kind of sad to see, that Giants removed the Stage that comes from leaving chopped up straw on the field, as fertilizer. If you use a plow.

Are you playing on a mod map? Yes. I am using a mop map. It could be the reason why I have this issue. I was using New Woodshire. I just downloaded and started Old Timer USA 4x map. Why use Auto Drive Mod, if you can use Courseplay? I rather would love to see AI Vehicle Extension. So you can have helpers drive in spirals on any field, without leaving stuff behind.
