Playing on Autumn Oaks DFMEP. I’m using a pull type chopper for grass, triticale and corn. I run the chopper, and I use Auto Drive to haul the wagons back to the tower silos.
Once I get more cows and land I will probably upgrade to a self propelled chopper.

Re: No-till Vs. P/F
No-Till in certain soil types is a trade off where the lost income in yield is off set by a greater reduction in the cost to preform the tillage. Drought prone windy area’s with sandy soil no-till is hands down more profitable due to reduce top soil erosion. In wet climates with clay soils breaking ...

Re: Autodrive vs Courseplay
I use Auto Drive and Courseplay together, AD does all the transporting, CP the field work. It took me awhile to figure AD out, but once you have a network set up it is just so much more versatile. My favourite feature is you can send a worker to a field and AD will start the CP task. I haven’t tried...

Re: Season length poll
I like 9 day seasons at 5x speed. I play on 4x maps, Eieresholt currently (Spring 4th year) and find it possible but challenging to get all the work complete during the year. I’m focused on dairy farming (~300 cows) and running the BGA, I have silage and hay operations running mid spring through ear...

Re: Planter fertilizer opinions poll
In game I go for none. The planter I’ve been using has a liquid fertilizer tank, but it is to small and empties well before half the seed is gone. I find it easier to fertilize with a dry spreader, or slurry/digestate then to constantly refill the planter with liquid fertilizer. Playing with Seasons...

Re: Courseplay
In the advanced options there is a combine self-unload option. When the combine is full, it will stop and drive to the nearest trailer on the field and unload itself. I find it works nearly flawlessly now.

Re: Cows have stopped producing milk
I found it didn’t matter, the cows don’t get pregnant at the same time anyways. I have a few that are 2.5 years old that still aren’t pregnant, but some that got bred when they were 2.Perbjorkhem wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 1:56 pm 2 periods before calf, the stop giving milk. I found it is the “V” button, it’s just not showing the length in the menu.

Log Length Control With Wood Harvesters
It’s my first time using the wood harvesters in FS19. In the F1 tool tip menu it is not giving me a control to select the cut length of the logs.
I’ve changed my key bindings quite a bit, does anyone know what the function is in the key binding menu for cut length?

Re: GE Force Now- A PC answer for Console Players FS 19?
I don’t see myself getting this now, my computer can still run the game alright.
For the next version of FS $5/month (even double or triple that) is a lot cheaper then building a new gaming PC.

Re: 3 USA Maps
The amount of complexity and opportunity on a 4x map is so much greater than a non 4x map. Now that I've had some time to properly digest the scope of the one I'm currently on I would definitely never go back. With that said, all I've seen are 4x USA maps, are there Euro maps of similar size? I usu...

Re: Oilseed radish with seasons
I will plant radishes on fields that will be corn or soybeans the following year, if good weather leaves some extra time late autumn. I need to have all my wheat and canola planted first though. I do not see the point of leaving ground fallow. The slight yield gain would never pay the loss of lettin...

Horses are just expensive hay burners in modern life. You should have to pay upkeep to keep them.
