Re: One mans ramblings on Realism
Reading this forum makes me smile. In the spirit of having a little fun try the following for realism. Turn your game off. Go outside and find some dirt. Rub liberally onto both hands and a little on your face. Now go in to the garage and find some oil and diesel. (Gas will work but is not as reali...

Re: One mans ramblings on Realism
The answer to “how much realism” is easy. It’s a “ select difficulty level ”. There it is ^^, the answer in a nutshell to the realism/difficulty problem. Doesn't however fix the actual problem that this is still only a 'tractor on rails' game and not any shape or form a simulation and Giant's still...

Re: One mans ramblings on Realism
Hey fellow Farmers, /snip I am enjoying FS 19 a lot - but as i play i notice major gaps in the the games realism and to me they are gaps that really don't have an excuse for not being in the game called a simulator . /snip NF Let me see which points do i disagree with?....... ABSOLUTELY NONE!!! I'v...

Re: Courseplay still useless?
Put it back in the box and go back to 17 it's the best alternative out there at the moment. I actually think you're onto something there. I've been playing this game since 15 (and yes it is a game, if you take out all the mods and play 'vanilla' it is NOWHERE near any semblance of being a simulatio...

Re: Courseplay still useless?
It works fine for me. Hmmm, so you don't have 'mid-field crashes', not 'dumping' at tip points (animation works, but nothing else), driving like a drunk whilst 'pathfinding', when moving to a waypoint turns directly into (or tries to cut-off) combine, can't/won't use the 'size' for the header (non-...

Courseplay still useless?
It's been a while since I tried this as it completely borked my game. Is it still a WIP (translation: never going to be ready for release)? All I've seen over the interwebz is complaints/errors/issues with this so am not going to bother to download. Can I take it that the 'modders' have given up and...

Re: Good Mod Sites
Yesmods has a bit of a weird name but it seems like a pretty cool site so far. It's a combination FS19 news blog and curated mod list. He does little writeups for each mod and uses original links to modders' facebook pages or wherever. Had a quick look and seems to be a gamer/mod author friendly si...

Re: Good Mod Sites
Yes, a sub-forum here at Giants would make sense, and would be easily policed by the mods. The rules for posting your link/mod would simply be, it's original and doesn't fill up the log with errors. The latter would be quickly verified by the players who download the mod. But, at this stage it will ...

Re: Good Mod Sites
I've sent a PM to the Mods reference posting links for individual mods and will await and abide by their ruling, so at this stage, wait out. If this is permitted it would not be hard to make a Dropbox account for use by the modders which link directly back to here. But again, this is dependent on th...

Re: move the tractor icon...
That mod will NOT move the tractor icon. Check the .xml and you'll notice that the co-ords are for the HUD, not the tractor icon. Actually it does move the implement selection/tractor icon but I suggest downloading it from someplace other than Modhub.us. from vehicleFruitHudSettings.xml <vehicleFru...

Re: Good Mod Sites
If modders linked to the specific Github page for their mod from this forum, wouldn't that be pretty easy? *thumbsup* I doubt that the moderators (or Giants) would allow us to post links to individual mods, hence why we only provide links to sites. But a good idea none the less. It's something Gian...

Re: Good Mod Sites
I use Nexus (Skyrim, FO4, and others) and have looked at the FS mods, can count them on my fingers so it's not worth going there or including them in the list.bigcrazewolf wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 1:37 pm Nexus is a great site but no one that makes FS mods uses it really I think there is a handful of mods for FS13 and 15.

Re: move the tractor icon...
That mod will NOT move the tractor icon. Check the .xml and you'll notice that the co-ords are for the HUD, not the tractor icon. If anyone has the smarts to fix this (I don't) can I make a request that this icon changes colour when the engine is running (I don't use the auto start/auto off setting)...
