Re: LIME!!!!

After certain crops, not before. The field gets the "needs plowing" state after it has grown a crop of potatoes, corn, sugar beets, or grass, but after you plow it that status won't come back until you next grow one of those crops.

Re: Wanted Mods

Some Manitou machines I'd like to see in the game: This truck-mounted forklift (plus a suitable flatbed semi trailer) (https://www.manitou.com/en/p/VPcTJyUAACUAtyFg) This rotating telehandler: (https://www.manitou.com/en/p/VxoaXSYAAOwqQVfI) They also have a telehandler/front loader mounted pressure ...

Re: Need aTruck flatbed modd for ps4

Upvote from me as well. As it turns out, Manitou makes one of those truck-mounted forklifts, so that's an existing brand that you're allowed to put on console. I'd be okay with it being a semitrailer instead of a straight truck. It needs rachet straps though. Since Giants seems intent on making us d...

Re: FS 2017 Draw Distance Updater ?

There's actually settings for all this in the main menu options under advanced graphics. I find that 200% draw distance it's more than adequate to where I'd expect to lose detail IRL.

Re: Pickups & Trailers

And maybe add dual wheels as one of the customizing options, as it is any decent weight trailer will bottom the suspension on the default pickup.

Re: Things you wish you could do in FS

I like the idea of a placeable petting zoo that works like a greenhouse, you put some food crops in and it makes money over time. I also like the idea of more varied missions, like "pull the football team's float in the Memorial Day parade".

Re: Will we be able to get the ground response mod on console.

But it's a GIANTS mod, presumably their deal with Sony/MS lets them mod in whatever they like to their own game.

Well, it could be in the game on consoles so long as it's not BMW branded. Call it a Lizard Pumpkin or something.

Re: [FS17] Feedback

@ Ragman, as far as i understood the explaination of GIANTS, you can fertilize your field (speaking for hardmode / 3-stage fertilizing) up to 3 times with at least one working step, or growth state of the crop in between two fertlizing runs. if you do all 3, you get an harvest yield of 190 % of the...

Re: Harvesting field

In the case of tight-growing crops like wheat and barley, it doesn't matter which way you harvest and the farmers around me (southern Michigan in the US) tend to do it in circles with the pipe on the outside, but the fields around here are usually pretty small. In real life, corn is planted in space...

Re: A few beginner questions

That's the difference between a plow and a cultivator. A plow is very aggressive, it digs the soil up and turns it over and is used to turn compacted soil into tillable soil. It does a lot of work, which is why plows are narrow and slow and require a lot of horsepower to make work. A cultivator is l...

Re: Wood chips

No you can't. The auger wagon only takes the four grain crops and silage. You can hook some of the tippers to the back of the chipper and it works (it has a high hitch and no PTO), but sometimes the pipe can't handle the angle and flakes out on you. In my opinion, if you are going to try and make mo...

You have to select the header first, by pressing Back on a gamepad or G on a keyboard, then there'll be a tooltip in the upper left to detach (Q key or the A button).

Slurry with hired workers, where does it come from?

So I was trying out using the Zunhammer cultivator and slurry spreader that comes in-game, and I noticed that when you hire a worker for it the content of the tanker doesn't go down over time. I know why this is for seeders and fertilizer, it just buys more supplies and fuel to keep the worker's tan...
