Yes, Elk Mt is a great map. And yes about the trees. The logging equipment is meant to work with the pine & fir. You can cut any of the other trees but will have to use chainsaw, but they don't sell for as much.

If you are talking about the area with the horse jumping arena there is not supposed to be any triggers, it's not a usable stable. I put down a fenceless horse pasture in the grass area next to the arena and just use the existing building for hay storage.

There was a problem with the Production Revamp mod causing this but it got updated a long time ago. If you are using Revamp make sure it is updated.
