Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

I am just wondering, if due to the south american theme, maybe our farm is part of the sugar industry cartel... preventing other farms in the region to plant sugarcane.... Anyone saw any of the other farmers planting sugarcane? looks like we are the only one allowed in the map to do so. I was about...

Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

Because I paid for it. As long as I don't distribute it, which I never do , then I should be able to make whatever edits I so please. All of the equipment that is in the base game is editable. Unfortunately lots of other people don't think the same. Wiseguy is right on that one. As long as he doesn...

Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

... With Courseplay it is able to make the turn with the 2 trailers. With CP it's a lot easier to just create 2 courses - one for harvester and one for a tractor with a tipper that would run by harvester and empty automatically (for example into a motherbin in the edge of the field). That's a good ...

Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

What needs to be done is to extend the hitch on the harvester a foot or so and you can hook to any trailer. The outlet pipe is in the way with the tall cane tippers, and other trailers. A hitch adapter-extension mod would probably do the trick. We should be able to mad the maps in the DLC platinum e...

Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

In South Louisiana they rarely ever had to replant, and when the time was right they came through with a cultivator that broke the soil up and reshaped the row while injecting ammonia and other fertilizers into the soil. Next thing you know cane starts growing back. To me the trick is plant it once,...

Still, the sugarcane looks nice and it is good to see Giants steer away from only offering European/Northamerican crops!
I agree, and especially the rice, but it has to be flooded, so a water plane would have to be involved.

Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

I would like to make a South Louisiana map, I lived there for near 30 years, even married two Cajun women (not advisable unless you've the fortitude), and they grew sugarcane from Delcambre, Abbiville, east towards New Iberia, and St MartinVille; then down all along Highway 90 down through Jennerett...

Re: Sugar Cane - What you should know

Cool Beans NateS, and I'll be following along because I haven't got that far yet. I don't guess you'd know yet if you plow the field after harvest, will the cane still regrow?

Re: Platinum Expansion - I Got Mine

Yeah, Estancia Lapacho is a sweet map, played around with it last night, and will more tonight. Love the train layout, but when I do my personal modified version I'm going to add a second train on a shorter loop. The way the fields are layed out you could move the inner train around the fields colle...

Re: Platinum Expansion - I Got Mine

I think they let it go in different areas at different times to keep from overloading the servers and bandwidth. I know when I did get it about 10:45 pm EDT it was slow as heck, and took awhile to download.
