Try to save the texture as a .png file with paint.net and then open it in Photoshop. From there when u edited the image you can save it directly from Photoshop.

I do not know if anything is wrong, but i got the editor from the collectors edition.

Oke but, can i use DXT1 with alpha when i need transparency or DXT5 with alpha. And if someone can explain a bit more about my questions this would be cool!
