Re: Turning grass into hay on 4x maps?

Loess Hill Country is a 4x map which I played for a bit, I made over 1000 hay bales and never had any issues with tedders.
I'd say the issue is caused by the map.

Re: How and where is the table with current prices stored during the game?

Presumably someone from realismus modding knows, as seasons has a graph showing average prices for the last year.
I'd either ask them, or see if you can find anything in their code.

Re: Potatoes, Sugar Beets & Sugar Cane Harvesters

There are mod trailers available which hold ridiculous amounts, and it's quite easy to modify the capacity of a trailer to hold as much as you like, if that's your play style.

Re: How and where is the table with current prices stored during the game?

I know that field prices can be set by the map maker. For example The West Coast and Oakfield farm both have lower field prices than usual.
I don't know whether they are defined individually or have a set price per hectare, but I'd guess the latter.
BulletBill or OxygenDavid would know for sure.

Re: Oakfield logistical question

You'd use narrow "row crop" tyres for driving in the crop, for spraying, irrigating, topping or harvesting, which the game models well enough IMO. It would probably be a bit too realistic for most if you needed to drive in the rows to not destroy crops.

Not in game, no. You'd have to use Giants Editor to alter the map.

Re: field 43 oakfield farm

I placed a few of the in-game silo extensions at the back of one of those sheds, in the dead space west of field 15, to increase my capacity to 300,000l as I store woodchips in one shed, and my harvesting/baling equipment in the other. They don't exactly fit the map, but they're not overly visible a...

Re: Oakfield logistical question

That’s actually not a bad point, assuming the plants don’t get crushed before they mature. I have always thought it was particularly silly to have root crops disappear just because you crushed the greens on top. Might have to consider turning that off. It’s kind of like required plowing in the game...

Re: Altenstein Seasons Ready?

That may well be a function of seasons, Guil. I've never played 17 without seasons so I'm not sure.
Iirc 15 works as you described, so vanilla 17 may well do too.

Re: Oakfield logistical question

It returns the ground to whatever texture is underneath the field. It's often wild grass, dirt or forest floor but it depends on the map, and your location on it. If you don't like what's there, and you're on pc, you can use the ground modification roller mod from the modhub to change it to whatever...

Re: Oakfield logistical question

You could always use the roller tool to 'delete' the bit of field nearest the gateway, so workers/courseplay drive around it. I've done this in the past but lately I've been mainly planting grass in hard to access fields, or using smaller combines.

Re: Altenstein Seasons Ready?

Not so, all the feeds get used up together, albiet at different rates depending on the season. I never let anything run out, generally top up the feed trough when the level drops below 50%. I do use the hay as grass mod but AFAIK this doesn't alter the amounts consumed, it just lets you feed hay/gra...

I can confirm that the compost master fits in field 50, you just have to line it up right! I've got the wall next to the ramp lined up with the gateway, which makes it easy to reverse up the ramp.

Re: One question support

Some maps might show reflections in water, or the windows of buildings etc. which can count towards the max figure even if they're not visible on screen.
