Re: Adding tip collision to placeable mod

I think the tip collision on a placeable is determined by setting 3 transform groups and adding the correct lines in the XML.

My suggestion is to look at one of Giants placeables to get a better idea of how to make it work.

Re: Updating PC Mods

Yes, download and put in mods folder. Make sure the name is the same or you will have 2 versions and not know which is newer.

Make an account on the modhub and when you log in you will find some guidelines under the help tab.

<area startNode="0>18" widthNode="0>19" heightNode="0>20"/>
Also look at these. They define the fertilizer area.

<area startNode="0>3" widthNode="0>2" heightNode="0>1"/>
This is what defines the work area. Go into GE and find 0>3, 0>2, 0>1 and adjust those nodes. This should fix the problem. They might not be labeled correctly in the editor but the numbers don't lie.

Re: Mod request

If on PC, there is a pull behind harvester floating around the internet called Fahr M66T. Have not tried it myself but looks interesting. If you are on console then there is nothing that small at the moment that I know of, but one could possibly come at some point.

Talking about weights...
I’ve always wondered when you would use those big weights in-game?

The 2300, 2400 and 3300 kilo ones.

Cause it seems overkill to me (in-game)
I use those on the back of tractors equipped with a loader, usually to lift things I shouldn't.

Every single person posting on this thread above has just joined the forum to basically post in this thread. Something fishy going on :hmm:

Indeed, very fishy.

Re: Little map modification problem.

In fs19 most objects are imported via an XML file. Can't remember which one but shouldn't be hard to find.

Re: Old Iron

I remember reading somewhere that Giants does not create these 3d models from scratch, they are sent the cad files from the manufacturers. If that is true then it might be that the manufacturers don't have their older equipment in CAD files available. Of course I could be completely wrong, just a gu...

Re: New mod idea

The toolbox on 17 worked because it was a placeable with the rigid body set to dynamic. It wouldn't be possible to incorporate that into a vehicle but it could be made separate and the set in the back or inside of the vehicle, just like in fs17.

Re: New mod idea

Unfortunately it would not be possible currently to make such a mod without 3rd party scripts. Hopefully Giants can implement something similar in FS21 or in a DLC, but I wouldn't count on it.
