Re: Black Smoke
I am sure that is the case but I don't think it would be expected on a new or nearly new tractor. What prompted my post is I just down loaded some JD tractor mods and the exhaust was excessive and black. This was from a couple first class modders. My experience is more from the marine world where th...

Black Smoke
I know the black smoke that many tractor and truck mods pump out do not effect the game play but I don't think it is completely realistic. If a farmer is running a $500,000 tractor and it is pumping out black smoke he is likely going to have his tractor in the repair shop. Black smoke is an indicate...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Happy New Year to all you virtual and real farmers! I am just finishing harvesting the third season on my new location on the Hoosier Heartland map. I am just starting to harvest the last field of 63 acres of soybeans. With what product I already have stored in my silo and the soybeans should pay of...

Re: Contract Work Solution
At least they won't tip over your hauler with a load of grain like running into a road sign.

Re: Contract Work Solution
I have never encountered the situation discussed as I have only owned two harvesters at the same time on FS17 and even then I did not do a harvest contract while harvesting my own fields. But I think this could be solved if either Giant or the modders could attach a filed of origin key to the load s...

Re: Contract Work Solution
I like doing contracts, but I am selective in terms of dollars offered. I generally only take on jobs $10,000 or greater. There are a couple of options I would like to see in the contracts scenario, like doing more than one contract at a time. Another option would be to look at the contract options ...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Well harvesting my soybeans did not go well at all. Had a two day wait for rainy weather and then got about 20% of the crop in when the rain started up again. Waited better than another day before it was dry enough to resume harvesting. As soon as the harvester started to move the remaining crop of ...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
Just started harvesting a 60 acre field of soybeans with my brand new CaseIH 7240 harvester and it started raining - again. Harvesting will be complete when I finish the soybean field and tackle 28 acres of late canola. Hopefully the harvest will allow me to retire some debt and add a couple fields ...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
The corporate holding company decided to close down the farm I was managing at Hoosier Heartland . We experienced a serious sink-hole developing in the middle of the yard between the machinery sheds that made them unusable. It seems as though they hired someone to do some “landscaping” and the goofb...

Re: Screenshots
Just last night I told the wife we need a new tractor the old CaseIH has seen its better days. She said , "when cows fly". Well after I finished seeding I rushed home and said unlock the treasury - I see a new Deutz Fahr Series 9 in our near future! https://image.giants-software.com/1/2JQECmeh...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
The weather cleared up on Marwell, so I got a bunch of hay baled yesterday. Before dark I got half of it stacked with the Arcusin auto stacker. I'll stack the rest today. Also got a Claas Scorpion on Demo from the local dealership to try out. So I'll use that to load the bales on the wagon and take...

Re: What's going on, on your farm?
I just visited my Hoosier Heartland farm in Indiana and my farm manager tells me that we successfully harvested 445 acres and placed 94,538 US bushels (3,072,494 liters) of product in our brand new silo complex. He also told me he hired a Mr. Play, first name Course, to help with a lot of the drivin...

Re: Fs17
I can only imagine the time guys like BB spend developing maps that all of us can enjoy --- and for free? In my mind the modders that do this stuff to make our game far better are a special people and I do have the greatest respect for them. The Lone Oak farm by BB is a classic and rates as one of t...
