Re: Greenhouses

ryebred, The river in the north (top of map) is a major river, you would consider the water in the “other” that runs past the mills (south of your farm) more of a minor stream. In real life it is much easier and cheaper to get a water extraction licence on a major river than a minor stream, likewise...

Re: Greenhouses

You speak as if I don't play the game. I do, and I started out on hard, without cheats, without ever fast forwarding, without doing any missions, and by the time I have green houses on the map and I can testify that money pours in daily between great demands, milk, wool, and green houses. I never e...

Re: Greenhouses

Pretty much because once you can get green houses money is falling from the sky (even on hard) and I'd rather pay for water than drive solid manure across the map a dozen times to fill the greenhouses. Of course you could always plop a lake down near the cows and have it all right at your finger ti...

Re: Greenhouses

Don’t know why people put there greenhouses at the cow palace then end up mostly paying for water and or moaning about it Put then on the north of the map next to the big river at the top of the map (between port and campsite) , you can then have all the free water you want close by and ample space ...

Re: Plowing Hell!!!!

Why not just re-plough the ends of the field, so all the little “strips” become joined at the logical ends where the harvester start/end each run up/down the field

e.g. if your “strips” are east/west then plough the ends north/south, so all the strips become joined as one

Re: Plowing Hell!!!!

If you not to good at ploughing, then either Use a narrower or wider plough to what you did before, so any start/end furrows will be in a different place to the prior plough. Plough crossways to what you did before &/or to the directing of normal harvesting Or Plough diagonally. Or Find a mod or cre...

Re: What do you want to see in patch 1.4 ?

ocean, not river. ;) the ocean is located at the south of the map There IS NO ocean on the map! It IS a RIVER! And it IS at the top of the map ergo the NORTH The water is FREE from the river that runs from the port to the campsite It is NOT free from streams (e.g. that runs near the mills) or water...

Re: Grass Yields

My own observations are, different vehicles/implements have different multiplication factors for the total grass harvested from a fixed area of grass e.g. From a plot ~6m x ~49m (sown with Amazone Cayena 6001) of grass placed in the centre of field 14 (we don’t want grass from the field edge confusi...

Re: Glowing Rock & Mushrooms

At the time, I had found somewhere between 48 & 51 horseshoes, it was close to 50 and was about the time I was wandering what effect horseshoes had On a different note with regards to horseshoes, on my second farm on hard, a few hours in and with field 15 & 16 joined, I had just harvested canola and...

Re: Glowing Rock & Mushrooms

I see a green meteorite fall from the sky at night to the east of the farm (was stood at farm by field 17 looking east), so I went and had a look and that is what I found, the sounds at the location imply “alians”, if I recall it was just off the SE corner of field 22 atop an embankment.

Re: Combined axsis

Its not ideal, but FS13 supports multiple controllers, if you have an old joystick, you could use the forward/backward axis of the joystic is a quasi hand-throttle/forward & reverse shuttle – or something like you may find on something with an IVT/CVT If its extra buttons on the top like trigger/s a...

Re: Steering?

It seems to support multiple controllers at once. I have my G27 steering wheel and peddles and I also have my joystick plugged in and they both work together, the steering wheel and peddles do the obvious while the joystick is configured as per a front loader, I also have implement lift/lower & impl...

Re: Greenhouse water and possible bug?

On the other hand is water really free in the real world! It cost money to extract water from a stream or river in the UK unless you own the river/stream bank and bed and even then you require an extraction licence for anything more than if I recall either ~5m3 (5000L) or 20m3 (20000L) per day – thi...

Re: Quick question on Fertilizers

Don’t use the Amazone ZG-B 8200 !!

it has an error in the xml file so it uses 32L/sec of firt vs. the Amazone ZA-M 1501 (also 36m) @ 7.2L/sec or the Amazone ZA-X 1402 (18m [half of 36m]) @ 3.6L/sec

or in firt cost terms $/€ ~535.47 per 1Ha spread vs. just $/€ ~115.70 per 1Ha spread
