Re: Forage question

Here's a project for you guys that have a lawn but never had anything to do with farming.. Buy a heavy/thick drum liner/trash bag. Fill it with the clippings from your lawn mover. Twist the opening shut a bit, then sit on it with our knee to get all the air out. Then tie it shut with a steel wire or...

Re: Forage question

Using a harvester takes a fair bit of trucks/trailers/people on the pit, and th ev capasaty is on another level compared to running 1-2 pickup wagons..

Nice yt channel, 1500cows, 3500acres and some 40+tracors.. 😂

Re: Forage question

A forage harvester has more knifes, and an essential component that the wagons do t have, a Kernel cracker. Cows don't prosess hole corn kernels, and the stem is to woody, so there are two drums that run with a slight gap that crushes those hard materials in corn. Just doing grass/whole seed silage ...

Re: JD Cotton DLC harvesting question

On another note. One should think that incomplete bales would end up at 2500,5000 and 7500 liters. But it seems that the cotton goes directly to the baler when the prechamber gets emptied.

Re: JD Cotton DLC harvesting question

You must try to get the pre chamber over 2500, then it unloads into the baler.. whatever volume between 1-2500 remains in the pre chamber untill next time around.

Re: Do you think Claas is coming?

35.. I think we can be pretty certain that most of their tractor line up will be included, let's say 4 pieces(atos, Arion, axion, xerion, I don't think nexos and Elios will be included) Balers would make 3-4 pieces, (round/square and combi balers) tedders, rakes would be atleast 4 pieces. Pickup/cut...

Re: Witered parts and hired workers

Nope, it would be too light and end up on the ground behind the combine and will show as green regrowth in the straw swaths pretty soon after harvest.

Witered parts and hired workers

Why cant the withred part just be threshed as a the rest of the crop but end up having 0 volume? it would simplyfy the use of a hired worked a lot..

Re: Geiselberg general

You must sel the silage at the biogas plant. but you have to own it, dont think its too expencive, as the rest og the yards on the map are quite affordable imo. And the biogasplant dump pit needs a wheel loader..

Re: How is it after the first day

Playing at 3 days, variable speed, as always, on felsbrunn. Just starting slow, with the starting fields to learn this thing again. Wheat on the smallest field first, then fall canola seeded in soil 1C too cold (4c) and it went pretty good during the winter, just a few spots.. But i f"#& up on the o...
