Where do mods not from GIANTS go in game ?

In FS 2015 one installed mods not from GIANTS in a mod folder.
I checked in 2017 there is no mod folder.
Need some help with this

Which one ?
Do not want to spend money on wrong one

I had mods in 2015 that did, if game does not can you recommend a mod that does that

I gather to sell crops it is by train only or can you truck it also?

I played 2015 for hundreds of hours Great game
Is 2017 a big upgrade and worth getting if so WHY

If I have this problem I just ran a grass seeder down the length of field that has the problem of hired men turning around and them getting stuck.
Yes you lose some field doing this but it sure beats hired man getting stuck all the time
