Re: Buried trees and map creators

The other option of course that should be considered by the lazy map makers who want to bury and hide trees or even other objects under the map, is to make sure they remember to untick the "Rigid Body" box in the Giants Editor so that they have no collision and then no gameplay effect on anyone or ...

Re: Buried trees and map creators

Really good mappers don't need to spam a map with junk to make it realistic ;) Ehh, yes, that is exactly what they need to do to make it realistic! In case you haven’t noticed, the real world is chock full of junk. I’m sure you’re far from the first person to be annoyed by a tree in the wrong place...

Re: farm subsidies

Cloudy AND raining in FS? Never gonna happen! :P I’ve never used the mod,and I usually try not to cheat but normally when I start a new map I sell all the default equipment. This usually gives me enough money to buy what I need and still have money left. I never understood why you would have 5 tract...

Re: Oakfield farm and water pump

*)The amount of water does not matter. As soon as a cow drinks a liter, another is added by the pump so no, you do not need a trailer and fill it all the way up, as long as there is water there, your cows are fine, they really don’t care how deep the water runs, jus t that they can drink as much as ...

But not that ones that are already on the map, right?
Yes the ones put there by the map creator. Not using a placeable

Re: Mod management

Jupp. I’m in the “but I might have use for it some day” club. Very annoying, actually. I also find it extremely annoying that often errors or warnings in the log won’t tell you which mod it has a problem with. So with my 350 active mods, it’s impossible to find. Like “MICCHELIN is not a recognized b...

Re: Oakfield farm and water pump

It won’t fill until you have animals there. Have you bought your cows/horses yet?

Re: Autodrive Mod

How good is AD with taking into account trailer weight+road conditions? That is something CP doesn't do - you have to create routes based on "worst conditions". It will automatically slow down in turn and intersections, but you set the speed and that is maintained, so if you set 70km/h, it will try...

Re: Modhub alternative

You download the mod again and replace the old zip

A bit more management than in-game hub, but access to a lot more mods.

Good stuff :)
I had forgotten about them myself just recently remembered when (trying to) clean up my mods folder, which I never seem to be able to do successfully

Re: Mod management

Google symbolic links and there are guides, both video on YouTube and written. I installed a program(I’m on my iPad without access to my computer ATM so can’t remember the name) that lets you create the links directly from your right-click menu (if on windows), just like copy paste. Very handy.

Re: Mod management

You guys know about symbolic links, right? That way you can have all your mods in one place and create links for all your modfolders. The links just point to the zip so they use no space. I currently don’t use a manager, I have all on separate hdd and have symbolic links in modfolder to the ones I w...

Re: Seasons mod (op updated re: bug reports)

If placeable mods are put in the map by default, the maintenance can be altered by the map creator. In your case this seems to be the case, since it only happens on this one map

Re: OakField Farm Sheep Pastures (#6/#7)

I haven’t started loneoak yet after the update but in general there are both food and water troughs in the pasture. Because of grazing in seasons they will eat the grass on field as long as there is grass there, but if you feed them better food they will choose that instead. You most likely will hav...
