Re: Seasons - Testing snow ingame?

I somehow managed to get mine working after restarting FS a few times, which was a bit strange. I noticed a few mistakes I’d made by not always being able to see the actual painting in GE, I think it’s because the object has a floor built in, so what I paint ends up under the floor and not visually ...

Re: Seasons - Testing snow ingame?

Same issue here. Successfully (as far as I know, no issues when following instructions) painting the SeasonsMask but in-game, after running rmAddSnow 1, there is snow also inside where I painted the mask.

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)

It’s been stated that the manual will be available before launch, but either way it won’t be much sooner. Just a few days left now, I’m quite sure RM is really tired of the repeated questions that pop up over and over. I’m sure they are working very hard to get the mod finished. Having to answer the...

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)

I've tried to read through parts of this thread and the blog. But will the fuel consumption be affected by seasons? I would like to start being concerned by fuel levels. Just a thought since the repair function is revised. I really hope so - doesn't seem right to repair my tractor twice for every o...

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)

I think months are way more realistic than weeks. There are bound to be bugs, and that alone will likely take quite a while to work out. Then there is the process of getting it streamlined for consoles. I’m sure giants will work hard to get it out as soon as possible at that point. I would think a c...

Re: Longer development

Giants biggest issue (and also it’s greatest plus) are the mods. The base-game is just that: a base to work from. All content that has any longevity are mods, generally speaking. So, do Giants keep milking the same old engine, while our fabulous modders create the content? That has seemed to work so...

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)

Maybe it’s possible to add water as a filltype and this could be used to water your fields if there is a drought, aka what soil-mod did back in the day. Now that irrigation-systems have started to pop up, it would have been nice to be able to use them as intended. I guess that’s feature-creeping, bu...

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)

Wow. Very impressive update and this really raises the bar both for other mods and for Giants as well (frankly, unlike a popular opinion; I don’t have any hopes that Giants will do their own version of seasons for FS21. I fear that the whole system would be severely simplified, to the point of not b...

Re: [FS19][PC] Looking around with mouse: Annoying!

In FS2019 I have tried the above ways to setup the mouse, but the darn camera views with PC is so unplayable as the mouse axis camera goes back to pointing to the ground and doesn't hold in one spot to enjoy the game like in FS2015. Not everyone likes top-down views, some times you want to have sid...

Re: Vehicle/implement maintenance.

Seasons mod will alter the maintenance levels if I’m remembering correctly, so you could make use of that when it comes out.

Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (Unknown Release Date) features in first post

Afternoon all, would they be a way to change the measurement system from the current litres to bushels? Every farmer I watch in usa refers to how much he has in bushels where as in UK all I hear is in tons, never litres unless liquids. Is this something you guys could add or would it need to come f...

Re: [Dev-Blog] New Mission System

Well put, geneborg. You are absolutely right, I do however agree that the lower end limitations shouldn’t stop the higher end possibilities. Options to turn down the gfx is better than not having them IF your rig can handle them. With that view, I think it is time Giants improve on these aspects as ...

Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!

Hi Doc3d - Welcome to the forums :hi: Seems like the destruction width will follow tire width in FS19. Below is an answer Lisertan (Giants Software Community Manager) gave yesterday on Discord: https://image.giants-software.com/1/DQ5frm9L.jpg That looks promising. I hope it works as expected. Nothi...

Re: Farming Simulator 19: Farm like never before!

I really hope the width is adjusted. I always found the destruction much too wide. Hopefully the squares that make up each piece of texture has been reduced so that only the patch under your tires are destroyed, not for instance the width of your tractor
